Contador should have gone to Movistar, this is just getting weird. Riis has sign absolutely no one. I doubt he even has enough riders to start next season.

as always riis has no money.

Last time I checked Karsten Kroon was not Israeli.;p

There's a very big change I'm wrong regarding the Isreali guy. It was just some kind of odd "memory" thing jumping into my mind.
I know Kroon is Dutch... :p

The israeli guy was a stagaire with them but I don't think there has been anything about him joining them for next year.

why is katyusha with all that money always buying overrated and overpaid riders?

Both Wegmann and Gerdemann are amongst my favourite riders, and I'd be more than happy to see them leave the Radioshack / Leopard team. They might be slightly overrated, but they do often make a race more interesting with a pointless attack or something.

Don't know if Katusha would be a good fit. Why not Saxo actually? Gerdemann would be decent support for Contador, Wegmann is a nice rider for the Ardennes and could be the only interesting factor in the terrible lineup Saxo would send to the Giro.

I think I remember* hearing somewhere that Gerdemann left CSC, as they were called back then, because he didn't fit in with the philosophy of the team...

*Whenever I utter the phrase I think I remember do not take it too serious...

Strengthened a lot for stage races. Not strengthened for the classics, but then Boonen + Chavanel is enough. Stybar could easily start winning races next year too.

I think Riis would have liked to keep him back then, but Gerdemann wanted to join T-Mobile desperately. I've read an interview with Gerdemann in which he admits he acted a bit unfair towards Riis back then and has matured since.

Gerdemann had a decent season with his Luxembourg win and if he manages to get on the podium in Britain. He was part of the Tour line-up and was active in other races such as Paris-Nice. I think the team can also be quite happy with his performances. He was a good fit for LEOPARD TREK and I think he could find his place in Radioshack-Nissan-Trek. Perhaps not for the Tour but for Giro/Vuelta, Ardennes, Tirreno/Paris-Nice, Romandie, MSR ... he could have a decent role and a good program. He might want to do the Tour, but wh go to Katusha then??

As for Wegmann he had some nice placings but unfortunately he was invisible for a big part of the season ... of course that has to do with not being able to ride the Giro and no one is to blame for that. I am pretty sure he will switch teams. I would say the best fit for him would be Vacansoleil or Skil Shimano. Maybe even Europcar if they want to make their team more international?

Saxobank are willing to give Riis extra money to buy riders that will strengthen the team.
That's what we heard many moons ago. What we're hearing now, in the middle of the transfer season, is deafening silence.

It is almost unbelievable. Which 5 new riders will Saxo Bank announce to make the team not worse than last year. Up to now, suppose Contador gets a suspension, Saxo Bank is not even strong enough to become a PCT team.
