Today during GP Frankfurt RAI called Davide Rebellin for a short interview with the usual question "when are you racing?" and he answered that he will make a decision this week.
Then Savoldelli asked if it was gonna be Miche but he replied that it would be another team, as he had more than 1 offer.

By the interview it sounded like he missed some chances/offers.

There was talk of an increased budget from the Venezuelans to build a stronger team around Rujano but things have gone a bit quiet on that front. Where's Ryo?
Just guessing but Ryo's disappearance may have something to do with Movistar's team for the Giro.;)

Androni are a very good team but they're squad depth isnt enough for the world tour and it doesnt look like it is ever going to get better. I think it is better if they stay Proconti and look for good perfomances primarily with Rujano in the Giro and in other Italian races, if they manage a Giro win then maybe they can start thinking but i cant imagine any of their current riders will truly impact on the World tour at the moment, more than they are doing currently

well said, I second that

Though I´m German, I just can´t understand the decision to leave out ASA.
It´s respectless to invite NetApp instead of riders like Garzelli or Di Luca, who have shown great performances in the Giro and all over the world in the past 10 years or even longer (Garzelli).

NetApp will show up in breakaways, nothing more.
ASA would have shown real racing and results.
Looking forward to 2013 in terms of Giro, hopefully with all the Italian stars.

Should do wonders for Savio's dodgy reputation.

why does he care. they have nothing to nail him on. I think he might be the cleanest ds out there. never had a single rider test positive in his team as far as I remember and he's been around 20 years or so

it all depends on rujano's results in the giro. still savio has said a few times he doesn't want a wt team. it's too big for him to really controll. rujano's contract ends directly after the giro so he could leave to any team and do the tour or vuelta even

De Angeli tested positive for EPO in 2005 at Coppi e Bartali, and named Savio as source of his EPO (he rode for Savio in 2005)

Gavazzi tested positive for cocain three months after he left Savio, and named Savio as source of the cocain.

So Savio isn´t better than anyone elso. But he isn´t worse, though.

http://www.cyclingforall.net/ciclis...i-savio-nessuna-accusa-da-mattia-gavazzi.html

it was a misunderstanding because both cases(savio-de angeli and gavazzi's positive for coke) were judged in the same morning.just like i said:

According to Rai's Radiocorsa;

-Nibali just signed with Astana
-Pozzato will meet during Giro's stage in Verona to talk with Farnese Vini about a possible contract but in the meantime he got offers from Vacansoleil, Sky and one more team
-Gasparotto got offers from Rabobank, Vacansoleil and Argos
-Pellizzotti choosed Androni cause it seems Lampre could offer a contract from 2013 but he wanted to ride asap

the race programme will start with Circuit Lorraine in France in May. Then Gran Premio Gippingen in Switzerland and Route du Sud again in France,” Savio said.

“Then we’ll continue with the whole Italian calendar, Getxo Circuit, Vuelta Burgos in Spain and some more transfers abroad. The main target of this season for Pellizotti will be the Giro di Lombardia.”

don't expect anything though from him this year.

Ha, where are you Parrulo now ? :D :p

Nah more seriously, I thought that would happen, it's probably not 100% sure yet but I am sure Nibs will go to Astana at the end.

I would like to see Pozzato and Flecha in the same team in the clobbed classics.. it will be hard to beat this two.

With Pozzato they would have a leader that could win a big classics. With him and Thomas back Sky could be the team next year along OPQS again on cobbles. As well as with more luck ( Flecha broken hand and further injuries to other domestiques ) Hopefully EBH could get to another level too * very wishful hoping I know ;) *

No team withstands the wrath of the Canc next year ;)

Would love Pozzato at Sky, very talented rider who was well and truly screwed over at Katusha and deserves to be riding in the WT.
