Yes, Knebel will leave.

I wonder who will take his place, Leo van Vliet?

PS are you suggesting that the guy from your local bikeshop is a dope dealer?

If you start off spectacularly, you remain an attractive cyclist for the rest of your career (even if you don't show

True, just remember this guy Armstrong, who was World Champion in 1993, then won Fleche, Laigueglia, and one stage in the Tour, just to disappear more and more, before leaving the sport at the beginning of 1998. Was meant to have an even greater future, few guys thought he could be a Top10 contender for 7 or 10 days stage races.

:p

Carlos Verona confirmed to Qmega Pharma by CQranking and cyclingfever.
Any1 have any other sources about this transfer ? I bet hes going to ride for OPQS continental team, not the main one. Still its an interesting transfer.

OPQS Conti

Yes, soon to be created OPQS Conti team should be registered in Czech republic and focus on developing young talents (U23) for the pro team. The recruits should be mainly from Czech republic, Slovakia, Poland but also from other european countries. Four czech young prospects have already completed physical tests in Bakala Academy in Leuven (Hirt, Koudela, Vakoc, Hnik?).
There's a nice article in latest 53x11 magazine... http://www.53x11.cz/casopis/

Brothers Daniel and Markus Hoelgaard have also signed for OPQS Conti. I believe it was mentioned in this thread a while back.

You still have to be in top 15 to be safe, Euskaltel was in this situation last year.

I thought a team with licence for the coming year was safe - except if the team was outside top 20.

I'm pretty sure FDJ is secured for another year.

Glorious Rebellin in agreement with CCC.

My info for this news is a 21.10.2012 :D

New rider for team CCC Polsat.
Davide Rebellin from Merida continental cycling team, signing with polish team.
This is very strange contract.

Re-sign, for 3 more years.

Good choice by him. With Samu turning 35 next year and Anton spending more time off the bike than on it, Nieve could be Euskaltel's main GC man for the next 3 years.

Well, at least he'll get them some extra 10th spots in GC in the Vuelta or Giro, but that's about it.
