He has been in a rehabilitation center over the past 2 years or so and he started training on bike since last spring.

Glad for him that he returns, great and talented guy.

The only thing I don´t understand is that Savio allows him to return with Androni. I read Gavazzi named Savio as his cocaine source, so this is strange.

nope that was a translation mistake...i think cyclingnews itself started it

savio had the case at CONI with de angeli in the same morning as gavazzi with the coke...

Just wait, very soon they will realize that Menchov is done and they already know Purito cant win GT ... therefore Schlechkovich bros are perfect fit for Katusha

Harsh, he has numerous top 10s and finished 16" off this last Giro win.

Lulu renews with Rabobank, 2 years.
That's fairly surprising. I was almost sure he'd leave. But I guess Rabo really needs someone who actually can win races, even if he can't win stage races anymore...

Renewed with Rihs in January.

Didn't hear about it. But it's awesome! was worried he was going to leave the team due to bigger names coming to BMC this year.

Quite a big scoop under GreenEdge's noses.

Had to go and look up Rohan, certainly seems like a good young rider.

It is interesting that he chose Sky, over GE.

I'm still slightly bemused the Richie Porte chose Sky over GE, he could easily have been the GC rider for GE rather than a domestique.

Up and coming British riders seem to be heading towards Sky from the get go.

Makes me wonder if the Aussie's haven't got everything sorted out just yet.

Evidence suggests that Chris Anker Sørensen is also looking at Team Saxo Bank Tinkoff Bank in 2013. Dane is currently negotiating with Bjarne Riis.
Chris Anker Sorensen
"The ox from Hammel" looks set to continue with Bjarne Riis and points out that he would like to continue on the Danish team.

"I would like to continue, and I've talked a little with Bjarne and I think we are alright close," says Chris Anker Sørensen opposite Ekstrabladet.dk.

Chris Anker Sørensen points out that he also keeps other doors open if it would not turn into a contract with Bjarne Riis and Co..
"I expect to agree with Bjarne. We negotiate for an extension of the contract, and it looks good, "adds Chris Anker Sørensen, do not put a timeframe on when he expects that the contract is in place.

"It's not just up to me, unfortunately."

not really a surprise to most people that he didnt go with GE

for all of his road career apart from a short stint riding with the AIS/SA.com team he has always stayed away from his state/national federation and has pretty much done things his own way - which is why a lot of people like and dislike him
