No wonder no one decent wants to ride for Vaughters.

Rohan Dennis is the one of the best prospects around and he chose Garmin ahead of plenty of WT teams.

Arkaitz Duran (Azysa-Telco) signs with Movistar.

I hope he'll finally breaktrough at pro level with them. His 2012 season was extraordinary.

I think you underestimate the brand of Riis Cycling, it´s been one of the top 3 sports brands for years. You don´t get that cheap, and it have been mentioned Saxo pay 8 million euros as sole sponsor. So no my estimate is not that far fetch, though it´s hard to say how Tinkoff and Saxo share it, but as I said, it´s an estimate.

The fact that Riis always has had a tight budget is more accurate, and in the case of two sponsors we can only hope the budget increases (with an extra 3-5 million at best). No way both sponsors are going to chip in 'sole sponsor amounts' of money. I really hope Riis can sign some good riders, and is able to secure the team's licence, but I'm afraid it's incredibly tough in today's market.

Definitely wouldn't go to BMC if I were Cav, they already have world-class riders in pretty much every discipline (granted, excluding sprinters) and he'll get even less support in the Tour than he had this year at Sky, with BMC focussing on Cadel/TVGarderen.

Same goes for Rabobank (the Dutch GC trio) and Liquigas (Sagan, Basso). Also Lampre has Petacchi (or is this his final year?) who might bounce back next year (although he isn't getting younger for sure).

So Katusha (Menchov too old to warrant a full team devoted to him, Rodriguez never aims for the Tour, Kristoff leaving (he's a few levels below Cav anyhow)) and OPQS (No real GC-contenders at all + hungry for success in the Tour, which they haven't had in awhile now + a lot of strong rouleurs and people capable of leading him out) seem like the most logical bets.

I'd actually not mind seeing him at BMC - we've seen this year that they don't really have a serious podium threat at the Tour any more, when you add Bertie & Andy to the picture; Cav would be comfortably their most bankable success, and after a year of abject failure I would expect them to try and bank it.

OPQS really is the one team that can give him a tour team built entirely around him. Every other team either has another big name sprinter they will support, or a GC contender.

True. But this would be my reason.

Where is it said that Kristoff is leaving?

 Tejay Van Garderen finished in the top five at the tender age of 23.

I hope Durán can make a good fist of his second chance as a pro. A bit surprised Euskaltel didn't snap him up mid-season when their finances were secured.

I doubt he'll go to BMC. They (BMC) still seem determined to keep their team around Cuddles and TJV, and while they still believe they can contend, you'd assume they'll keep the status quo.

HTC were always geared around delivering Cavendish what he wanted, Sky weren't and I can't see BMC being any different for the time being. I always assumed he'd end up at OPQS but who knows.

I'd love to see him back on a S bike..

Matthews out Dik Dik in? The best leadout man reunited with his sprinter? I would prefer that over Dik Dik going to OPQS.

Not mentioning the fact he lost another 90 seconds trying to drag Cadel up the hill when he was still the team leader

Julien el Fares (Type 1), Rémi Pauriol (FDJ), Fabien Schmidt (Roubaix Lille Métropole) and Evaldas Siskevicius (La Pomme Marseille) all signed with Saur. Those are some nice additions, but no Coppel replacement in sight.
