According to Danish media Fuglsang is close to signing with OPQS despite Astana offering a better contract economically. At OPQS hé will able to ride his chance in all the major Tours. Something he wouldnt be able to at neither Astana nor SBTB

Roche brings only 17 points for Saxo. They need a lot more

Yeah, he could do well at the Vuelta though. Possible stage win and top 10 GC. Also doesn't Roche have 36 points?

Wonder if AG2R pulls a RSNT and replace him for the Vuelta

That should be a good move from them since Saxo is going to be one of their true opponents.

Concerning the number of points, I'm talking Sporting Value which is what is relevant here, and not WT ranking

IAM Cycling announces Sébastien Hinault (new Swiss team)

They are aiming at Cancellara and should have Elmiger, Goddaert, Rast.

Gallopin could follow his leader too.

Although I'd like to see him ride for Riis again I think working w Holm at OPQS would be a great thing too - definitely more prospects riding his own chances as well!

The article is BSSSSS

Theres nothing said, nothing new in that article that suggest hes closer to Holm than he was a week ago....
BS article from start to finish.

And Roche signing with Saxo is NOT official anywhere, not even on the independent as announced, maybe you should check the sourcess before you eat everything raw these days. Wait for confirmation from either the team or the rider.

Since when did this ranking show anything that was worth reading in to? Saxo has been and probably will be - in next season - one of the best teams around.

Only that it is annonced pretty much everywhere and was so when Cimber wrote it.

And this is a rumour thread as well. So cut the 'BS' expressions and calm down a bit, eh..

How. It will be pretty much be the same team as this year but with Contador. Surely removing a teams best rider is a better way to judge TEAM strength anyway. Saxo have a few very good rides but has a team they are very poor.

Riis has said there will be a minimum of 5 new riders..

If there's something Saxo has been known for already from their Tiscali days it's team chemistry. And no - Saxo doesn't have a few very good riders. They have one. Bjarne has said that a minimum of 5 prominent names will arrive and then you'll suddenly see them being able to help Alberto = looking like a strong team in great balance.

Just because you don't think much of Saxo - likely don't like it? - doesn't mean that Roche can't give his personal view when commenting it and base it on other things than current standings and this year's rankings.

Saxo through its history has consistently been one of the best teams - yes, when half the team left and the team lost its star rider it has suffered. However historically and in the coming two years - which is the main thing when it comes to Roche and his valid expectations for his contract period - they have been and will likely be one of the strongest teams.

However, you're obviously completely free not to like that fact one bit...

Good sign for cycling if Riis is signing someone like Roche. I will now spent the next 6 mths orientating myself towards a toleration of the almighty contador!

Their weakness this year is more of a fact than your predictions of their strength next year.

I don't give a fig anyway. Roche has stagnated so he's taking the money to be a dom for a rider who doesn't need them and doesn't use them.

Its all very nice saying that history says that Saxo are right up there but Roche isnt transfering back in time. They currently dont have the Schlecks, Basso, Canc etc. They finished last in the WT rankings and 21st in the CQ rankings last year and are currently 21st in the CQ rankings and last in the WT rankings this year. They are currently a 2 man team and are certainly NOT one of the best in the world.

You don't give a fig? So of all the things you could be doing with your life right now, you're here expressing your non-figness. Go away

A few points:

1) there is something new in that article. So far SBTB has been believed to be the more likely destination for Fuglsang (his agent saying 60% chance for SBTB and 30% for OPQS). So it is new that the media states that it has sources saying that OPQS is now the likely destination.
http://www.sporten.dk/cykling/holm-taet-paa-at-snyde-riis-for-fuglsang
U can disbelieve the article, fine, but to state that there is nothing new in it is wrong.

2) This is a rumour thread, but...

3) Roche's transfer was official. It was made official by himself in an blog in an Irish newspaper
