its hard to believe that SKY spent all that time on the Cav sweepstakes , signed him, now after less than one season are thinking of letting him go ?

I think having the current world champion - and BBC Sports Personality of the Year! - on their squad has boosted their profile here. That in itself is some form of success. He's been usurped by Wiggins now though.

Several other riders have been rumoured to be linked to a move to Riis’ team, including Vasil Kiryienka of Movistar, Jonathan Tiernan-Locke of Endura Racing, and Roman Kreuziger of Astana.

I havent seen that before - any1 got the original source of that rumour?

1,if all rumours are even slightly true with all teams after him, Kiryienka should buy sky guys a few beers, tempo climbers all the rage :D or hes got a great agent
2, great fit for JTL from fun/racing point of view although he is an accident prone sickly fellow n im guessing sky would sort that out quick smart.

What will happen with RadioShack, Liquigas and NetApp? It almost looks like this teams are going to disband..

Preliminary Team Rankings based on Transfers so far:

Sky 1700
OPQS 1115
BMC 1045
RSNT 903
Astana 886
Katusha 782
Liquigas 733
OGE 722
Garmin 708
Movistar 695
Vacansoleil 690
Rabobank 677
Lotto 601
Lampre 565
Ag2r 532
FDJ 525
Argos 380
Euskatel 363
Europcar 357
Colnago 269
Cofidis 264
Androni 261
Farnese Vini 221
Saxo Bank 215

Conclusions:
The top 16 I would rate as having a very good chance of being World Tour. Argos, Euskatel, Europcar most likely fighting for the last two spots. Saxo needs alot of help. Of course if they sign both JTl & Pozzo, thats ~165 pts and puts them right with Argos, so that would be a huge result.

Is that based purely on WT points or do u take value points into consideration too?

Would be surprised to see him leave Colnago.

iirc one of the reason why he stayed in colnago all this time was so he could focus on his PhD ( which he finally finished last year) so it wouldn't surprise me to see him finally make the jump to a WT team.

Its the formula from UCI so,

takes forever to do

Aye I dont blame u ;) so the real "rank" could look somewhat different. Anyways, find it strange that UCI would make such a complicated system.

Of course the rankings will most likely change a bit after the Vuelta, San Sebastian etc, so that will be fun to edit :D

welll . . . riding for a small pro conti team was one of the things that made my boy domenico super awesome so i don't know if i should be happy to see him finally riding the big races and being properly protected on the flat, or sad because he will no longer be little domenico on little colnago climbing like a little angel and making the big guys on big teams look like a bunch of amateurs

Well tbh Kreuziger is also just still a rumour. But I reckon they could share the captain role or Pozzo going for stage wins. but tbh I doubt Pozzovivo will end up at SBTB

Really hope Pozzo wont end up @ SBTB.

Vacansoleil/AG2R/Garmin would be fine for me though.
