iirc one of the reason why he stayed in colnago all this time was so he could focus on his PhD ( which he finally finished last year) so it wouldn't surprise me to see him finally make the jump to a WT team.

Well there's also the fact that at Colnago he can ride the Giro and the whole Italian calendar, and be a leader wherever it suits him. Would that be the case at AG2r, Vacansoleil, Saxo Bank or Gamin? Not sure.

Its the formula from UCI so,

takes forever to do

So any new team is automatically left out till they race for a year according to that equation unless they hire the top riders out there and can still barely qualify to get enough points as their 2011 Points = 0 (or previous years points).

That's just the "team" points which make up minor fraction of overall points. Rider score is much more important.

It's quite easy to get in with the right signings (not necessarily big/expensive ones) a la GEC.

Probably Dani Navarro will be in a different team next year. He did an interview and about his future he told that he was only focused to help Alberto now.

Unlike our friend Noval, he has renewed one year more:D

That suggests the rumours about him going to Euskatel could very well be true

According to Tour of Utah commentators Dombrowski have signed with Sky.

So Liquigas are losing most of their climbers? They might as well become the new HTC now and focus on Sagan, Viviani, and Moser. They really should have signed Aru or Dombrowski to replace Nibali. Oh well...

velo-club does infact link Dombrowski with Liquigas

Joe DOMBROWSKI (Bontrager Livestrong) -----> Liquigas

Rumours are easily created.

Does that mean this whole rumour thread should be deleted or reduced to a "confirmed transfers only thread" in your opinion?

No, but the fact that Velo Club links Dombrowski with Liquigas as a rumour doesn't make it more true. I'd rather see some foundation (i.e. real source) for a rumour.

The nature of the word "rumour" means that its something that is unsure, not a fact. Velo-club is imo one of the more credible sites (regarding not making up stuff), but ofcourse there is no guarantees, cos, well, its a rumour :)

But feel fere to browse the internet or contact velo-club for more info. But dont ask me to stop posting rumours from that or similar sites.

But u are absolutely right, rumours are easily created, and ofcourse we would all prefer managers to confirm deals or negotiations, but we just have to live with less. Thats how "silly season" works in most sports, and its one of the things that makes "silly season" fun tbh.

I did not ask you to stop posting rumours. In fact, I think rumours can be interesting. I just wanted to say it is a very weak rumour. Velo Club is a credible website, but unless it is French info, they don't know more than you and I do.
