Well it does make more sense then going to sky. . . .

And right now Costa has much better results than Ulissi so if anything Costa will be supported by the team and Ulissi will have a free role and not the other way around.

He says his schedule will be similar to this year so it should be something like:

Algarve (leader)
PN (leader)
Pais Vasco (leader with scarponi/ulissi)
Ardennes (same)
Romandie (leader)
Suisse (leader)
Tour (leader with scarponi as he hints on his letter scarponi will ride the tour next year)
Canadian races (leader)
Worlds
Italian Classics (shared leadership with Ulissi / Scarponi)

Back to back to back Tours de Suisse for Costa? Also, will be cool to see him be the guy on his team for the one day climber's races, rather than being option B behind Valverde.

I think it was the best option for Costa, It's the one team of the ones that were options in which he will get the status of leader in pretty much every race he enters/targets.

I don't think that's right. In this context, listing a number of examples, "o" is pretty much synonymous with "y" - the nuance is that you could go on mentioning other people. Madrazo is not staying.

If that's the case, I'd like to see Madrazo go to Lampre as well. Let Matxin get some of the old team back together with Madrazo & Cobo. Plus Costa. Plus Scarponi, Pippo, etc from existing Lampre. Lampre could use some rebuilding, and I could get behind a team like this. :)

edit-
And please god, let's get David De La Fuente back in the WT too.

Davide Malacarne

That's an interesting signing- especially since they got rid of an Italian rider in Appollonio.

However he was very good at P-N and just needed more tactics.
Ardennes?

I tried to see if there were any comments in the thread and couldn't find any. What are peoples thoughts on GreenEdge signing Ivan Santaromita and Mathew Hayman?
