Not much transfer news today.

Battaglin, Colbrelli and Pirazzi renew with Bardiani: http://www.****iociclismo.it/contin...olbrelli-e-pirazzi-le-punte-per-il-2014-32488

Rob Ruijgh has a firm offer from a Pro-Conti team (probably Wanty) but is still in talks with a World Tour team: http://www.wielerflits.nl/nieuws/24594/rob-ruijgh-in-gesprek-met-worldtour-ploeg.html

Guillaume Boivin has renewed with Cannondale: http://cannondaleprocycling.over-bl...rat-avec-la-cannondale-****iociclismo.it.html

Some Movistar news: http://deportes.elpais.com/deportes/2013/10/16/actualidad/1381943557_514662.html

The new three year Sponsorship until the end of 2016 is reportedly worth 10.5 million euros per year. This is higher than the previous three years and is about average for a World Tour team according to the article.

L.L. Sanchez is rumoured to be joining.

Quintana has reached an agreement with Unzue for a four year contract running to 2017.

Valverde is under contract for next year and the idea is to extend that to 2016.

Compared to Sky or BMC, that's one very cost efficient team.

Yup, certainly the best value for money team this year. I guess they must benefit somewhat from being the only WT Spanish team now (little competition for their mid-tier Spanish guys).

Odd - this article is from one month ago. Nothing has been confirmed about George Bennett as far as I know. In a recent interview Guercilena said Bennett was in negotiations with Cannondale

Abarcá have been a very cost efficient team for several years now, always seemingly lower on the budget level than you'd probably expect for their visibility and results - I imagine that Valverde can't be on the same kind of salary he was pre-ban too, which probably helps. I guess there may be the possibility of their doing things via subcontractors and hiding some costs the same way Sky did at first, mind.

The actual budget will be more, what with bike sponsors and co sponsors, but still it's probably not as astronomical as the big Anglosaxon teams. They probably don't change bike sponsor for nothing.

What is more- article states that Farrar would leave, while, he has already confirmed he will be riding for Gamin next year.

It seems it's far from being reliable. I think Bennett would be a good fit for Garmin, but I'm not sure it's a done deal and I'm sure it hasn't been confirmed, yet.

Speaking of Movistar, Eloy Teruel is leaving and will ride for Jamis-Hagens Berman next year. Gregory Brenes has also signed with the American Continental team for 2014.

Blgian soccer player Timmy Simons will support a new continental team called Vastgoedservice.

It's the team where Rob Peeters the cyclocrossers will ride for so they will have a road and cyclocross team.

Cyclocross team : Rob Peeters, Joeri Adams, Jens Adams, + Yannick Peeters

Road team : Kevin Hulsmans, Rob Ruijgh, Kevin Peeters, they have a budget for 15 riders....

I thought Hulsmans was going to Wanty - Groupe Gobert???

DS : Johan Verstrepen

He preferred this team because it is 100 percent Belgian. It seems that Rob Ruijgh's talks with a WorldTour team were not successful.

Latest for this year from Beppe Conti;

-Scarponi and Samuel Sanchez have an offer from Scinto and Citracca for their new Pro Conti team
-Horner has an offer from Guercilena, but the contract would be much less than the actual one even after his Vuelta victory
-Simoni Ponzi is without team but could end up at Saxo
-Basso didnt conclude the deal with Astana, and he's waiting for Riis to confirm the 2nd big sponsor from Danmark

But that means Hulsmans won't be able to ride Flanders or Roubaix. Seems a strange decision.

Not sure, its getting closer to the end of the road for Hulsmans. If he stayed at the top level, he may not get selected anyway. Perhaps its better to take a step back and do some smaller races.
