Really?

Citation required!

My understanding was always that Roche realised his limitations as a GT rider and was going to be content as a super-domestique with the option of leadership for week long stage races.

VN: Longer term, do you still have ambitions to go back to the Tour as a GC rider, maybe in three or four years?

NR: Yeah, I think that’s one of my long term goals… Right now, it’s time to just sit back a bit and forget about the Tour leadership. I can go and learn, practice my time-trial, get some new experiences, gain experience with someone who is riding to win the Tour and then in three or four years, when I feel that I’m capable of going for it again myself, then give it another shot.

Would Trek be a good fit for Roche? I know they're heavily linked with Mollema but he's not really the type of rider you'd award outright Tour leadership to is he?

Maybe Sky wamts to add another Irishman to Deignan.
Roche lives in the Monaco area and sometimes trains with the Sky guys there

Would make sense for Sky to sign Roche given what Brailsford said about wanting to win the Tour with a French rider.

I would give him a try once. He has finished the last two TdFs in top10 despite being slightly ill at both. I believe he has a podium potential if he can stay away from health problems. I would try to figure out if it is possible and gamble with full support for him if I can't get anybody like Nibali or Quintana in my team. He is also very consistent, so at the very worst I would've ended up with a lower top10 GC rider, still and asset for half of the teams out there.

Ebh to Tinkov seems like one of the usual rumors. His agent said Tinkov-Saxo is one of the 4-5 alternatives they are looking at. Oleg seems to say he wants everyone when asked, so I would wait until any deal is confirmed.;)

I think Astana might also be a possible landing spot. I have no idea what the other 2-3 alternatives are. Staying with sky might be one of them.

His agent said he hopes to have EBH singed on a team in 3-4 weeks.

With the silly season upon us, which team needs what and who is available?
I think Sky is more or less set, but a more reliable number 2 might be in order. Saxo and Saxo looking for bolstering in classics, OPQS looking for a little more GC strength, but i think with Evans and Hushovd's contracts ending BMC have money and may look to throw it around. I can't believe they aren't at the top of Sagan's list. Quinziato, Oss, Schar, Van Avermaet and Burghardt is one hell of a classics team, but maybe they want to keep Van Avermaet happy which will be far cheaper. Belkin may have trouble holding all their stars, but we'll see. Trek aiming at Mollema, there are plenty of classics domestiques available, they should be looking at picking up a few, Devolder just isn't enough for a classics oriented team.

Some big names I think are up for grabs, though deals may already have been done and I may have missed them re-signing Terpstra, Van Marke, Sagan, Betancur, Pozzovivo, Scarponi, Aru, Mollema, Gesink, Kelderman, Bouhanni, Vichot, Van Den Broeck, Sanchez, Evans, De Gendt, Bakelants, Poels, both Schlecks, Kiserlovski, Wiggins, Navarro, Duarte, Konig, and Horner.
We've already heard news regarding some such as Bouhanni, Mollema, and Wiggins, though i don't think even Wiggins is confirmed. I'd expect to be hearing about a number of other extensions soon, like the OPQS guys and Van Marcke. However there is still potential for a number of big moves. Interested to see who wants to take on fats Betancur and Horner.
Any other big names missed, or guys already signed I listed?

Terpstra posted much before TdF that he extended his contract for 3 yrs with OPQS.

His mother is French, he was born and raised in France, his name is French (Nicolas, not Nicholas), he at one stage declared for France until Cycling Ireland persuaded him that they could offer him more opportunities.
But though... he is still Irish.

Per request, I have compiled this list of riders with existing contracts past the 2014 season (it is edited into the OP). I was able to create this list using CyclingQuotes transfer overview for the 2013-14 season (http://www.cyclingquotes.com/news/tr...ist_2013-2014/). I only put riders on the list who had a year listed (the year they were signed until), so there is likely some that have current contracts but are missing from the list. If any of the info is wrong or you know a rider and year they are signed until that is missing from the list, please let me know and I will edit. Also I only bothered with the world Tour teams, because the lower ranked teams on CyclingQuotes list usually only had one or two riders listed as signed past 2014.

Thanks Afrank for the effort. I was checking procyclingstats.com and there are some missing to your list. I am not sure how accurate they are.

Yea, Astana the poor strugling team can't match the brits :p

If Vino doens't give him a 3 year contract worth x million I will get ****ed off.

I think that the rumours about Aru to Sky have little credibility. Sky have plenty of money, but trying to buy a rider out of a contract is a stupid use of it. And that's without even considering the deep pockets of the kleptocrats funding Astana.

I was responding to someone who seemed to think that the widely shared preference of amongst forum users for talented riders to stay away from Sky would have some possible bearing on who Sky signs. If they don't sign Aru it's because they don't think he's worth the combination of his prospective salary and the compensation they'd have to pony up, which would likely be huge before Astana would even consider letting him go. Not because lots of cycling fans would sulk if he was stuck pulling the train.
