nothing new... but he said he prefers english (speaking) team with captain role. BMC has TJvG, Sky has Froome and Porte... so I guess Trek, Orica or the "new" Garmin maybe.

I guess the daily language at Tinkof-Saxo is english too...

he left in the first place because Sky didn't want to have people that were affiliated with doping in their team. Doubt they would sign him + ofc, he seems to be doing well in Saxo.
Rogers won't leave Tinkoff - he likes it there, Riis likes him, Contador likes him, Tinkov likes him, he's on good money and forming a good racing partnership with guys like Contador, Roche and Majka.

I'll be stunned if he leaves for anywhere other than Orica.

why. because he won a s**** race in london that nobody cares about?
Still sad that all of Team Colombia got dropped in said sh.t race?

Blythe won it in quite a convincing manner. Whether that merits a WT contract, who knows, but for instance a team like Astana could use some more cobbles riders.

There are a few cobbles in Binche-Tournai-Binche, no? Which he won in 2013.

Seriously though, whilst that is not enough to anoint him a future Classics specialist, there aren't that many 24-years olds at UCI-Conti level who have four years of experience of riding at WT-level, a reasonable sprint finish and an ability to mix it up with some well-regarded pro's (even if it was at a 's**** race that no-one cares about)' during a year when they have been racing a diet of domestic crits.

It ain't going to have Oleg opening his wallet but definitely should be riding at one of the top two-levels.

I remember Gilbert said once that Blythe was a hugh cobble prospect, however he never proved that in a race as far I know.

Only thing I remember from Blythe was that he was good at positioning his leader in spring classics. Gilbert praised him for that.

Besides these comments, I've only seen him on the front of third tier races. To me doesn't seem a future prospect in classics or GT sprinting.

Sepulveda re-signs with Bretagne Séché. Impressive by Bretagne, I was sure he would go to WT.

Joel Zangerlé (LDT) to Bretagne Séché as a stagiaire

Maybe not in your area but every cycling or triathlon related magazine here in the US has at least one full page ad with Sagan's face. He is very marketable and popular here in the states hence his traditional US oriented race and training schedule. I can tell you that during the off season he was frequent on local rides in southern California and did bunch of appearances for Cannondale and other sponsors.

Like it or not, but because of his personality I truly think that he is the most marketable rider int he pro peloton. Sure, there are other riders that have long list of palmares but that doesnt make them more marketable or attractive for sponsors.

Who the hell cares about GVA? Have you every seen one ad or interview on TV with GVA? It has nothing to do with how good he is because even retiring Jens Voigt with very few recent results has more value to advertisers than GVA.

Right here is your Flanders style ad. Perhaps the Flandrians are not creative enough to use that podium moment for advertising :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYP14j993uQ

Above, I'm just quoting myself as I'm glad that Tinkov has the same opinion on Sagan being the most marketable rider out there.

""He's a great athlete, a nice person and has the biggest marketing value in the sport," "

No kidding...
Well, how would it sound if an owner of a team says: "He's not marketable at all, but I've spent ridiculous amount of money without thinking about the business."?
Now, I'm going to be very smart and predict he'll claim Sagan will win MSR and RVV, and Contador the Tour.

Sir Fly,
the Brits will never accept that and I can understand that. That being said, I just cant imagine any global advertiser being interested in some cold, unfriendly and unappealing and some would even say arrogant personality of someone like Froome or Vigo.

Sorry but the current top 3 for advertisers are Sagan, Spartacus and maybe the Shark but some may even prefer Jensie for their global campaign unless you are talking an Italian company.
