Or another wikipedia article...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigenous_peoples_of_the_Americas

Application of the term "Indian" originated with Christopher Columbus, who, in his search for Asia, thought that he had arrived in the East Indies.[25][26][27][28][29][30]
Thank you for clearing that up, I thought all Native Americans originated from India...

You know what Ryo means, why turn it into a discussion on who's most politically correct?

I don't think anyone believes Ryo is politically correct.

When I read the first post he made on this topic about Indians being made of stern stuff, I had to spend 20 seconds trying to work out what possible relevance India has.

Calling indigenous South Americans Indians just isn't common usage in English English.

I think most countries call native americans indians. Atleast in my native language we do, and I probably do it whenevr I talk about natives in english (not often :p)

yes thank you for proving my point. kwiatkowski was lucky to get a 2nd chance at a good team. he wa shorrible at caja rural as well. moreno and herrada weren't young  ruben fernandez? only win of any importance he wasn't even wearing a caja rural shirt

Kwiatkowski was just a kid at Caja Rural, and while he didn't produce a lot of results he was very visible in the breaks in short stage races in 2010. He was meant to be with Unzué in 2011 but the sponsorship issue meant they had to delay talks and he went elsewhere. Rubén Fernández is still producing much better results this year than prior to his Avenir win, and you neglected to take on my point about Pello Bilbao, probably because it's difficult to say he hasn't made progress since being at Caja Rural without looking like a fool.

They still don't have a good track record, but let's not pretend signing for Caja Rural is a death knell for somebody's career.

If you said native americans or american indians to most people in Britain, they're thinking north of Mexico.

From a British point of view, Amazonian tribespeople are usually referred to as indians or amerindians. Perhaps, in the US-focussed world we live in, many of the population just aren't aware of the existence of native americans in the Andes area, and prefer to focus on their north american counterparts, doesn't mean it's not 'politically correct'.

Anyway this is way OT :p

Farrar? Goss? Gatto? Blythe? EBH? Can't recall many others who are free next year and can be a support to him in classics and sprints.

I heard in an interview with Kristoff on NRK( Norwegian Broadcasting) just after the tour the France the name Jacopo Guarnieri from Astana mentioned, but it was never mentioned again in other medias or interviews after that.

My guess is Katusha. Second guess is Phonak. I hope for his sake that it isn't the latter.

In May/June there were rumors about BMC. Then he dismissed it:

Ryktene rundt et eventuelt nytt lag har vært mange. Selv bryr ikke 27-åringen seg om det, men humrer lett for seg selv når han får spørsmål om i hvilken grad ryktene stemmer.

- Den med at jeg skulle til BMC likte jeg godt. Da måtte jeg le litt, flirer han, og fortsetter:

- Dere har truffet på noen spekulasjoner.

Doesn't mean it wasn't true of course. It would also put Olegs bp tweets in a perspective. "Everyone" thinks the first one was about Samu.

EBH? Was rumored to his team earlier in the year and is suppose to announce team tomorrow. And looks like Alonso's team is moving forward.
