Great move for Carthy, should give him access to a great calendar for a climber and relatively few other people on the team he'll need to work for

Just like Parra. Just look how good he does:eek::confused:

Lancastrians are built of sterner stuff. I'm surprised when good South American juniors don't fail at converting to the seniors, not the other way around.

Parra's results are very ordinary, but his 2013 results were not exactly superstar stuff.

This move gives Carthy the opportunity to ride lots of races which potentially suit him rather than trundling round Britain. All he can do is give himself a chance, and now it's up to him to make sure he develops in to it.

farewell carthy then. caja rural are legendary in destroying talents

You mean like Michał Kwiatkowski, Pello Bilbao, Javi Moreno, José Herrada or Rubén Fernández?

Sure, there are quite a few talents who have stagnated or failed to break through from Caja Rural in the past few years, but let's not pretend it's one-way traffic.

Howes signs three-year extension with Garmin

I'm really happy for that. He is probably my favourite rider of that generation. And he really deserves a WT continuation, what could potentially have been under threat after Garmin-Cannondale merge.

Too bad he rides in the same team with Dan Martin, Slagter, Hesjedal and with Moser and Villella from next year. That really limits his chances of riding for himself in hilly races. I think Garmin has the strongest team in the peloton for that kind of terrain.

Katusha is signing another rider to help Kristoff, he says. But he can't say who it is yet.

http://www.nrk.no/sport/kristoff-med-byks-pa-rankinglistene-1.11896397

he has had a direct impact on two new signings for Katusha.

It will be better for me next year considering that I have a training buddy here at home that I can work with (Bystrøm) and that I get more support in the Classics and the sprints. In that sense, I think next year will be as good as this year, says Kristoff'

ryo, the word indian is not normally used becaue of colonial issues, even if indio is not offensive in Colombia. In the USA you would say native American.

I guess Waterloo's point is that British people are tougher, harder and can get by in any foreign environment. Like it has always been since the days of the British Empire.

You've seriously lost me. India is in Asia. Do you mean he's descended from a native tribe (i.e. the all brown people are Indians option).

he's an indian. indian race, not from india in asia. in netherlands we say indiaan or indier. use your eyes to see he's of indian descent, american indian whatever you want

That makes a ton of sense if you think Columbus found a passage to India
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian#The_Americas

Indian or Indians may refer to:

The Americas
Indigenous peoples of the Americas, the pre-Columbian inhabitants of North and South America and their descendants
First Nations, the various Aboriginal peoples in Canada who are neither Inuit nor Métis
Native Americans in the United States, the indigenous peoples in the United States
Indigenous peoples in South America, peoples living in South America in the pre-Columbian era and their descendents
