NRS domination isn't always a guarantee though. Porte and now Haas are turning in some impressive rides but Earle and Von Hoff have been less impressive. I suspect Orica prefer to recruit through the AIS program where the riders have more exposure to European racing and are a more known quantity. It's paying off with the likes of Durbridge and Hepburn and this is why they've gone with Howson and Ewan. Flakemore may be seen as too much of a gamble for this reason.

porte never rode in teh nrs and haas hasn't been all that impressive. in fact riders form nrs have been moslty failure in europe that's why greenedge isn't getting them

I'm not sure where the Van Asbroeck "rumour" originates, haven't read it anywhere. The crowdfunding rider is probably Roosen, Beckeringh is a bit of a gamble.

Better than Vanmarcke, Kelderman, Gesink? Or even Hofland, for that matter.

Wait, I thought we were talking about Lotto, not Belkin  That's weird, sorry for the confusion.

Belkin is gonna be sponsored by the Dutch Lotto next year, so there are two teams, Lotto Soudal (Belgian) and Lotto Brand Loyalty (Dutch). This will probably be confusing for some time when talking about this stuff.

Good for him since they started to build a team around him. Best place to develop.

Yes. It certainly seems that they have faith in his abilities, offering him a three year contract when he still had a cheap year as a neo pro to go and it seems assembling a full sprint train for him. Bouhanni is probably the only sprinter on a PCT team who will be getting more support. And with Konig almost certainly gone, I'd expect him to be a key part of their GT team, as they will hardly be devoting the squad to Nerz's GC ambitions.

It's up to him now to show that he's worth the investment. They will need him to, given the absence of reliable winners on the team.

The Dutch Lotto won't be called Lotto-BrandLoyalty though. They're still looking for a second name sponsor. Not very likely to find one. So maybe it will be Lotto-zilch, or Lotto.nl, or whatever.

Pozzovivo and Nocentini to Lampre? AG2R is almost full and Lampre have less than 10 riders in their 2015 rooster.

Nocentini confirmed to leave. Pozzo not, should stay really.

Anyhow so far AG2R signed 3 riders and 4 left, so not sure what u mean by almost full.

WTF? Porte destroyed the NRS almost single handed in 08. His team just had to drop him off at the bottom of any decent sized hill and let him go. I should know, I was racing NRS at the time, Porte was on the Praties team (then Genesys, now Avanti)

Haas was solid for Hesjedal in the Giro this year, probably his best domestique.

Probably Cardoso was better, although they're not the same type of riders so it's hard to compare them.

But Haas had quite impressive winter-spring period with 13 top10 places scored in flat sprints, hilly races and even TTs. 5th in TdU, stage win in Herald Sun Tour, and 6th in Brabantse Pijl, despite being squeezed to the barrier by Matthews, could've been a top 3 instead, I feel. He even proved he can climb a bit with 12th overall in CI.
