When is Nieve's contract ending? He should get away from Sky. Movistar should be a good match.

It ends this year along with Porte, Kiryienka, Siutsou, Deignan, Stannard, Rowe, Kennaugh, Seb Henao, Eisel, Zandio, Pate, Knees, Sutton, Boswell and Earle.

I would re-sign Porte, the two Belarusians, Stannard, Rowe, Kennaugh and Eisel. That only gets up to 19 riders. Transfer activity!

I really don't get it what this guy did to deserve a new contract ,they should pack him and give him as a present to Cav. A guy like Knees will surely deserve it more.I would keep Deignan too, maybe Boswell and Earle.

Earle's really struggled at the world tour level but maybe he needs another year to adapt. A bit like Boswell who is performing much better this year than in his first two.

Sky need to identify who they want as there leader for each part of the season and build around them. If riders don't want to tow the line then they can leave because they will never do as well away from Sky.

Cobbled Classics - Thomas
Ardennes - Kwiatkowski (If rumours are to be believed)
Giro - Henao/Uran (If rumours are to be believed)
Tour - Froome
Vuelta - Konig

With so many contracts being up this year, they can rebuild again. Kwiatkowski, Uran, T.Dumoulin would be a start.

I would guess that they will offer Deignan a new contract. He's a strong reliable climbing domestique who isn't going to be part of their scrum of would-be leaders. A handy sort of rider for a GT focused team to have around.

Also, Ireland is quite an important market for their sponsor, although that's of less relevance as long as they have the higher profile Roche.

Yeah, no way Landa or Dumbolin for that matter will go to Sky. Funny thing is that these rumors are often started by journos or even members of forums. It's ridiculous.

Sky don't need more climbers. They only need a real strong puncheur for the Ardennes. That's why Kwaitkowski makes sense.

Other teams DESPERATELY needs climbers. BMC, Etixx and Tinkoff all needs at least 2-3 new mid/big name climbers.

Sky is arguably the lessest fitting squad for Landa. Nieve should be a warning example!

Nieve is not a grand tour contender ...he never was

This propensity for blaming SKY for riders inadequacies is ridiculous....they get the best training & support at SKY ....Nothing is stopping Nieve being up there on GC at this Giro or even winning a stage...not like he was riding in a train fro Porte except that one day he came to the front for a few minutes

Domoulin actually would fit perfectly within Sky. They have a great record for promoting time trialers with a decent climbing ability.

Landa is a pure climber. A man made for offensive racing. He should stay with Martinelli or go to Unzue. No way he's at his place with Brailsford!

If Tinkoff-Saxo wants to win some more, they seriously need a better team.

Both for the classics and the mountains. I replace the half of the team. Contador, Majka and Sagan deserve better.

Any candidates who could go to Tinkoff-Saxo?

Degenkolb - no way can TGA afford the salaries and bonuses of Degenkolb and Kittel now

Of course they can. And he is already signed for 2016. If anything, I'd get rid off Kittel.

Why? Kittel makes them relevant in TdF, which must be important, what else do they have? I expect them to be able to afford these two horses and their set of helpers plus occasional spark like Dumoulin, as long as they don't think of adding other leader to focus on.

According to cyclingquotes, all these riders are off contract.

Ilnur Zakarin (Katusha Team), Carlos Betancur (Ag2r La Mondiale), Mikel Landa (Astana Pro Team), Greg van Avermaet (BMC Racing Team), Joaquin Rodriguez (Katusha Team), Tejay van Garderen (BMC Racing Team), Daniel Martin (Cannondale-Garmin), André Greipel (Lotto Belisol), Sylvain Chavanel (IAM Cycling), Zdenek Stybar (Etixx-Quick Step)

Mark Cavendish (Etixx-Quick Step), Domenico Pozzovivo (Ag2r La Mondiale), Daniel Moreno (Katusha Team), Jens Debusschere (Lotto Belisol), Elia Viviani (Team Sky), Bryan Coquard (Team Europcar), Pierre Rolland (Team Europcar), Maciej Paterski (CCC Polsat), Ryder Hesjedal (Cannondale-Garmin), Jurgen Van den Broeck (Lotto Belisol)

As well as Uran, Porte and Kwiatkowski

Edit: A few of these are obviously going to stay like Greipel and Van Garderen among others
