Any truth that Sebastian Langeveld is to be joining team sky next season?
No. He resigned with Cannondale through 2017 something like 2 weeks ago. Contracts can be broken or bought out but I guess he wouldn't have signed a new one if he was heading to the other team.

Good spot, something on Instagram of him being 'teammates with Porte, so maybe that's his destination.

It could be more like "comrades". Langeveld sent out a tweet in the last few days criticising the treatment of Sky.

Sky at the Grand Tours next year?:

Giro-Landa, Konig, Nieve, Suitsou, Lopez, Kiryienka, Poels, Puccio, Viviani

Tour-Froome, Landa, Roche, Thomas, Kennaugh, Henao, Konig, Kwiatkowski, Stannard

Vuelta-Thomas, Roche, Poels, Suitsou, Deignan, Nordhaug, Kiryienka, Swift, Viviani

That would honestly be ridiculous

Naaaah, its not ridiculous, they are just trying to place 3 riders in the Top 5 in every GT.

Unfortunately, is is very much possible.

All its missing is the Camper/RV

Anybody know if Zubeldia will extends for 2016? That would make Sanchez,/Purito/Valverde/Contador feel young.

I'm just surprised that Zubeldia has managed to ride 2 more seasons than Klöden.
Fairly similar riders from 2012 onwards and Trek kept one, I suppose Zubeldia did top 10 in 2012 and 2014 Tours.

The problem at Sky is that there is only 1 GT leadership available each year now for the next few years. I think we will see Froome do Tour and Vuelta for the next few years while he is in his prime.

So unfortunately Landa, Konig, Henao and Thomas who could lead most other teams in the WT but can't all lead the Giro at Sky.

Henao will be the next one out the door as Kwia will now lead Ardennes and he won't lead a GT. Konig, can Sky really see him winning a GT? Landa has done it once, needs to prove he can repeat. G can he target the cobbles and then the Giro, the answer is no.

Oh for christ's sake it's July 2015 and already Sky's 2016 GT teams are being discussed. What's it with you Sky fans, are you really that obsessed with their GT lineups?
And haven't you learned from the previous 10000000 times you guys were speculating months ahead, that you're never right.

That makes sense.

I know Sky love Thomas but in my opinion Konig is more deserving of leading at a GT, 3 top 10's in a row. Maybe Froome will only focus on 1 GT per year?

According to spanish newspaper As, Beñat Intxausti is going to Sky too.

Now that is interesting, I expect to replace one of Nieve or Lopez perhaps.

With Peters, Moscon, Geoghegan Hart, Kwiatkowski and Landa pretty much official, you would have to expect quite a few Sky riders to be leaving (only Porte confirmed so far).

My guess

In: Peters, Moscon, Geoghegan Hart, Kwiatkowski, Landa, Intxausti

Out: Wiggins, Pate, Zandio, Earle, Sutton

Which would give them 30 riders.

Pate has been used in important stage races this year so I'm not sure, what about Eisel or is he too key to the Classics?

Probably because Sky have the possibility of bringing 9 good individuals to GTs, whereas other successful GT teams are more like 3 good riders and 6 average and/or anonymous ones, but their team is stronger than the sum of their parts. For instance when I think of Tinkoff GT teams, I think of them as divided into two camps: Contador and his personal entourage, and a token Dane and Russian.

I heard that Kwiatkowski takes Golas with him too? In that case, it doesn't add up.

and what about Intxausti?

Don't know about their contracts, but Sky could easily afford to also lose Lopez and probably Puccio too. Puccio is odd: won u23 RVV in 2011, but at Sky since 2012 he has yet to win anything and mostly you just see him at the front about 110km from the end of random classics like KBK or providing a substandard not-really-a-leadout for Viviani. Best result this year was getting the same time as the winner in the prologue of the tour of slovenia.
