I would expect the Yates twins to stay at Orica for another season.
This is because they are getting the opportunities there they wouldn't at Sky.

If they move from Orica i imagine they won't necessarily stay together, trek would make sense as they would get chances and in the big GTs could help Contador in 2017 and then look to their own chances.
Also trek is changing it's roster a lot this year and with extra sponsorship I expect them to be a much bigger force.

I can't see Sky happening as the Yates twins already said they knew they wouldn't get the chances.
Also Sky have so many riders in that climbing domestic role, (Konig is expected to leave) but it's still very clouded.

As a British fan I would like to see them at Trek, BMC or Bahrain project.
As they all will have chances in those teams and they would get world class support.

Where do u guys think the following riders will go:

Sagan? I have no clue because he must be demanding so much money! Who can afford him? Bahrain? Specialized are prepared to help pay his salary to keep him apparently.

Cycling news says Trek have Degenkolb and Contador close. Alberto will need some climbing doms

Nibali?

Poels?

Konig?

Gilbert?

Boom?

Pinot?

Roche?

Nieve?

Majka?

Kreuziger?

Guercilena really should reconsider to resign Mollema

He will become supper dom for Contador imo.

Is this a supper dom?

I could see Mathews to Sky with Swift and Viviani out of contract

But are they both necessarily wanting to move ? Kwiat also still present and there's likely to be at least some degree of cross-over with targets. Its certainly a possibility but also far from a fait accompli

Nibali? Bahrain unless something happens

Poels? Sky, surely? He is Brailsford's GC winner in waiting after Thomas and Landa

Konig? Might stay with Sky, I don't know though

Gilbert? I heard a rumour about Astana maybe

Boom? CX, then probably a Dutch team near home (Jumbo?)

Pinot? Pretty sure he extended his contract with FDJ

Roche? I don't know

Nieve? Dream is Caja Rural, or a small Spanish team, reality might stay at Sky

Majka? Same as Nibali

Kreuziger? Not sure, maybe he'll follow Contador

Surely if Matthews does leave OGE he will go to a team where he gets full support in the races he wants to race in and Sky most likely wouldn't be the place to go unless he is really just after a big pay check. Also Swift and Sky look to be happy unless I'm missing something, same goes with Viviani as Sky has supported his training plans to race on the track in Rio and fully expected him not be as competitive on the road this season in anything other than pan flat sprint stages, but if one was to leave I'd say it would be Viviani

Where will all these SKY IN THE KNOW people that pollute this forum with 100% Sky tranfers that predicted Matthews was cert to Sky....

Decent transfers for Giant.

Matthews is heading to Giant to replace Degenkolb.

WILL be interesting to see how this one will play out. Whilst Giant does make considerably more sense than either SKY or BMC, it will be interesting to see whether they can/will be able to deliver on their promises and give him the required level/quality of support.

If the rumours are true and Dagenkolb leaves taking with him a couple of support riders then that leaves room for them to sign some dedicated workhorses to look after Matthews, they also said they want to bring in riders to look after Dumoulin so looks like a descent size turnover of riders will be required. I wonder how long the contract with Alpecin is, they are a German company who came on board with Kittel and Dagenkolb spruiking the product and now both the German marquee riders will be riding elsewhere.

.

I love the Sky fanboys/girls who on cycling forums every year who go nuts claiming almost any rider of note on the market will be signing for Sky, we get sooooooo many pages of of drivel about it with all the possible GT lineups filled with riders who either end up staying with the current team or going elsewhere.

Very valid points, I too am wondering about the Alpecin deal with Kittel gone & Degenkolb apparently out the door. If this is drying up, where are the new $$$/euros coming from ?

Matthews would most certainly be a marquee signing but will there be quality support riders on the market/available ? Unless they really have the $$$, they may be pushing to sufficiently meet the demands of both Dumoulin AND Matthews.

As it is, we will need to wait and see whether this proves to be a reality or a case of media getting hints and jumping to premature conclusions

Cyclingnews and the cycling podcast linked him to Sky earlier on this year. lol

But Giant makes more sense.

Astana or Etixx
I think he'll only go to Astana if Slongo doesn't follow Nibali to his new team, he has already worked with Slongo for a few years and they know eachother well.
Etixx would probably work well with his riding style, the only problem would be Kittel at the Tour.

And Gaviria who will be stronger next year... Not a fan of Sagan, Kittel & Gaviria in the same team tbh.
