Sounds like it could be Vanmarcke AND Phinney to Cannondale. wtf

In both of those signings. I would think that a pay CUT was in order.

Sep is a very good Cobbled Classics rider. However Lotto Jumbo got Krusjwick to sign an extension. Fending off a Rumored SKY offer. So we can assume he got a hefty raise. That was probably funded by the end of SEP's contract. Just moving money around.

Phinney was on a nice deal from BMC. Yes he had very promising first year (Giro Maglia Rosa, San Remo, Roubaix high finishes) However his injury was devastating. And JV knows the kid. So he might be taking a flyer. Knowing that his BMC deal was probably much bigger. And JV sees a possible resurrection. On a much lower salary. That is classic "Moneyball"

Purito, Hesjedal, Cancellara, Schleck, Tjallingi, Popovich and many names "retiring" this year.
Just wait for Oleg to announce that he's going pro along with loads of veterans.

Wiggins and A Schleck is coming out of retirement and aiming for the TDF.
Claiming that if need be he'll fight Froome on and off the bike.

A Tour Team with Wiggins, A Schleck, Hesjedal, Purito, Cancellara, F Schleck, Tjallingi, Popovick & the Road Captain Oleg.

I think Oleg would crash into Froome in 1st neutralised section. Bouhani would think it was intended for him and start a fight with oleg and injure himself.

I've got all of this from a reliable source

that would be awesome - add active grandpas like the Horny one or the Rebel one and they can win all classics and GTs in 2017 if "managed" properly

Is Kwiat really that lonely or what lol?

Wisniowski is pretty unremarkable for how much news coverage he's been getting. He's neither very young as well.

Eh ,Viviani and DVP need lead out men.Plus he can do a job on the cobbles.

Yeah he's a handy enough classics Dom/lead out man, only 24 and to me it certainly makes sense that Sky would pick him up

Rúben confirmed on Trek. More portuguese riders coming to WT too.
Rúben, José Gonçalves..and?
Maybe Brandão.
Don't really see him in a WT next year. Maybe a PCT like Caja Rural
The most probable scenario is Brandao going to Caja and Gonçalves moving up to WT, maybe following Rui, or who know, maybe he joins Andre Cardoso.

Where have you read that more Portuguese are joining the WT, anyway? Gonçalves seems likely but I can't think of anybody else, really.
Not convinced many would be joining the WT (where from, exactly?) but certainly I could see Antunes or Figueiredo getting a ProConti ride, especially if Lampre drop down depending on what the latest score is with the Bahrain/Merida deal; Southeast have an increasing Spanish presence so maybe they'll extend that to more of Iberia, and if Zé Gonçalves goes to the WT it opens up a spot on Caja Rural of course, plus Delko have Délio Fernández of course and maybe he could put a word in for an old teammate. Maybe somebody would take a flyer on Rafa Reis? He was great as a junior, is a beast in prologues and was strong in the Spanish April races both climbing and in hilly races and only just turned 24, so while unless he breaks out à la Zakarin he isn't going to be a superstar, he could be a more than functional helper at the WT level. The down side is that I think W52 are one of the less trusted teams, shall we say.

You should know that in Portugal the transfer talks are inside of the peloton. To know this you need to know or talk to someone that is inside of the peloton to give such news. Like i said before not sure about Brandão but Gonçalves is 75% that he is going WT. To be honest I don't see anybody else moving to the international peloton.
