Ivan Ramiro Sosa a young Colombian climbing talent will ride for Androni next season.
Looks like the silverfox finally reanimated Colombia connections lately. Hopefully he uses them correctly and gets a wildcard for the Giro once again!

Sosa might have already been training with Torres and Bernal as he rode in Italy all year. However I think it is too early for him to turn pro, I think 1 or 2 more years in the U23 category would have been better for him. Hopefully he proves me wrong though.

Maybe Androni fields him mainly in smaller Italian races like Settimana Internazionale. It might work kinda good for him in that case.

Interesting move. Caja Rural have really expanded their horizons in recent years.

Another decent signing from them. According to a local journalist they hope to announce seven more signings on Monday, presumably including Denifl. Apparently none of them Irish and one of them is of a similar sort of profile level as Nordhaug. If this is accurate, it seems that they will not be providing the bonanza of pro contracts for Irish Conti riders that had been expected. Instead they will be filling their ranks with established WT/PCT riders. It is after all a buyers market this year.

What? Seriously? These guys underperformed this season, in some cases quite drastically, but I am still surprised at this ruthlessness. Guys like Kadri and Minard have been there forever.

Kadri hasn't shown anything in the last 24 months. Minard is getting old, Gaudin and Turgot never were able to showcase their presumed classics potential with Ag2r and Daniel is just a third-tier sprinter who barely wins races. They all would suit Fortuneo or Delko-Marseille, but Ag2r needs better riders to support Bardet, Bakelants and the other big names.

If Bardet decide to ride Giro, the support from Bakelants,Geniez,Chérel and Vuillermoz is enough. And Mathias Frank can go to the Tour for stage win.Too many big names means higher budget. For a "poor" team like AG2R,they must learn to save money...

Any news on Pozzovivo?
Italian media reported months ago that he want to change but nothing else since this.

Pozzovivo still has a contract with Ag2r in 2017.

When he resigned?
I haven't read anything and CQ ranking site report him out for next season confirming older rumors http://www.cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/transfers.asp

Maybe he already had this year on this contract. It was the same last year or two years ago if I recall correctly. A lot of discussion about Pozzo's future and he already had a contract in place.

CQ isn't very reliable in transfer rumours. They had Anton confirmed at Bahrain based on a rumour and then he re-signed with Dimension Data. PCS is more accurate now since they only add the rider if it's confirmed by the team, and there Pozzo is listed in Ag2r squad for 2017.

PCS added him today on 2017 AG2R squad (yesterday when i last check was still in the "no team next season" page) but on AG2R site (and Twitter/Facebook) there is nothing, maybe is reported in L'Equipe article that was quoted for the news of the five riders not confirmed.

Maybe someone simply asked Pozzovivo and he confirmed he's under contract with Ag2r for 2017!

Good for both parties actually. Bardet needs him as a super domestique at the Giro and I guess Pozzo might target either the polka dot jersey or the general classification at the Tour for Ag2r once!

PCS is also far from 100% reliability. They had Breschel as being contracted with Cannondale for 2017 just around a week ago, while CQ had already listed him likely to leave at that point IIRC. I think PCS also had Ben King listed with 2017 Cannondale contract for a long time, which turned out not to be true.
