On the topic of IAM. We have rumours or news about Brändle, de Venyns, Frank, Enger, Kluge, Naesen, Pantano, van Genechten and Warbasse.

But that still leaves Aregger-Roth, Chevrier-Wanty, Clement-LottoNL, Coppel (who is considering retirement because of his inability to find a new team), Denifl-Bora, Elmiger-Retired, Fumeaux-CT Team, Haussler-GIANT, Hollenstein-Retired, HowardCT Team, Laengen-DimensionD, Lang-Roth, Pellaud-Fortuneo, Pelucchi-Bahrain, Reynès-Retired, Saramotins-Bahrain, Tanner-Cannondale, Wyss-Roth and Zaugg-Bora without any transfer buzz that I've seen.

Ill have a guess :=)

not many of these left over will easiy find a new WT I guess but you never know... Elmiger & Pelucchi perhaps...

Yeah, several are close in age to retirement. I was hoping Bora could take on a number of them, but that doesn't really fit with either Sagan or the rumoured big-ish name signings Bora are yet to make.

Lampre should try to hire Pelucchi. Would be a great addition and could give more wins to the italian team.

Clement stated on Dutch TV that he wanted to be a dom for a guy who could actually win a GT. Given that he gets along great with Pantano (his room mate at the TdF) and heard in conjunction with that info it looked like a job interview for Trek. He more or less indicated that the Lotto-NL was known territory and therefore less appealing to him (and apart from Kruijswijk doing a similar Giro next year, one can't see Lotto-NL win a GT any time soon). I have no doubt he will accept an offer from Lotto-NL if it means he gets to ride another year, but I don't think it would be his first choice by any stretch.

On a side-note, I could see him as valuable dom in a setting with a proven GT-winner.

Canondale Just signed either Boonen or Vanmarcke.

Boonen renewed with Etixx so it's Vanmarcke

@Vaughters

I love Paris-Roubaix. It's my favorite race, by far. So, I figured we needed to sign a guy that can win Paris-Roubaix. And we did...

He got better support there than at LottoNL tbh.

Apart from Drapac, I wonder whether Slipstream Sports has secured a new big sponsorship deal? Quite a few good signings by them lately!

IAM exodus continues

Van Genechten confirmed moving to Cofidis
acc Cfever

Of course there's an exodus. The team is closing.
There's a bit of a Tinkof exodus too...

How did Vaughter's tweet narrow it down to either Boonen or Vanmarcke?

Greg Henderson won't extend with Lotto Soudal (cause the team thought he was gonna retire apparently) but intends to compete at least one to two more seasons in the WorldTour peloton.

I'm looking forward to see some memes like "RIP Vanmarcke's career" or something like that.

I think Vanmarcke is enough of a lone wolf to not care about what team he is in :D

To be fair he would have been pretty screwed in this year's Roubaix without his teammates. Still, he needs to leave an increasingly GC-focused team. (Should have gone to other Lotto, though, if they'd been interested in him, which by rights they should have been.)

They can't pay him.

I've heard they got a budget increase last year which they didn't spend, and they could afford him now.
