Nairo will still end up being one more to work for froome or else it will make the place of Aru ... bad change, I think .... If opt for the astana, let's have a good astana with Nairo, Fuglsang and Kristoff ...

Aru to UAE, will only go to Trek if A.Contador does not continue

Astana could make some sense, but Sky? Nairo would have to ride in front of Froome instead of taking his wheel. Chuckles :D . Big mistake IMO: Movistar is a Spanish speaking team, comfort, whereas the other two are very, very different. Sky is not becoming Spanish anytime soon, Astana...can be. To me it's Nairo making a statement, like "I will choose my calendar". Then it means: this years calendar was not his choice. Excuse or truth? Many questions arise,

His old coach is at Sky and there are a fair amount of Spanish speaking riders.
His manager Acquadro also has some very good relationships with Sky.

If his agent Guiseppe Acquardo is the guy I think he is then he must be rolling in it. He has a number of great riders on his books and he just keeps trading them between the big teams such as Sky and Movistar, and then back again.

Both Nieve and Landa are likely to leave Sky, perhaps to compensate the arrival of Nairo and Castro.

Quintana to Sky?
It sound like a joke. Sky wants to buy all the best of cyclers from the market and then they will have no oponents in any race.
Even Landa go to Movistar... Sky wouldn't be poor, come on. They still have Heano, who won Paris - Nice this year; Thomas, Poels and Kwiatkowski who is very good in every terrain. They don't need to gain Quintana.

Nieve isn't leaving sky, likely to sign a new deal.

There were rumours he might be going to Orica
Yep. Verona was guest commentator last Sunday in Spanish TV and confirmed Orica's interest in Nieve.

RCN is like Fox News... And a random journo can pass a rumor that makes him 'important'. And that's not mentioning the weird relationship between Acquadro and RMC website which is run by the same group of journalists that work at RCN radio

Bank it in that Trentin has signed for Orica - They never comment on transfer speculation. Interested to see where Haas end up.

Trentin might be true. Lefevre himself said he will leave but will not go the new PCT team

According to LA Gazzetta both Aru and Dan Martin will go to UAE (annd Viviani, but that's pretty much old news).
L'Équipe recently reported that they'll get a really big budget for 2018, around 30 millions.

30 million ?? :surprised:

Is that even more than Sky?

I wouldn't mind to see Quintana at Astana just for the lulz. Its a very good GT-team which just has been incredibly unlucky this year. That would probably also have to include Aru to UAE and Landa to Movistar which isn't unrealistic

L'Équipe estimated that Sky are around 35M, but they'd be nr.2 or 3, Katusha is apparently also 32M.
