These dumb speculation in-out overviews for Sky are unnecessary IMO, it's the same as the GT team speculation posts. Just Sky fanbois circlejerking, keep it in the Sky thread or do it for all teams.

Agree with Flo's post.

Viviani's move to Quick Set is a win for both parties - Viviani will get sprint support and ride a GT, while Viviani will be a vital part to their classics squad - De La Cruz move to Sky must be about money - Quick step is focusing a bit more on GC , so have a growing cohort of climbers in Martin, Jungels, Brambilla, Mas etc - A strange move by De la Cruz

The Sky coach Xabier Artetxe used to be De La Cruz's DS/Coach at Caja Rural. Maybe there's still a relationship there (same there is with Castroviejo who worked with Artetxe at Euskaltel)

Having said that money is the prime motivator in most transfers.

You miss the point of this particular thread - It's to post rumours of signings and actual signings, with a little bit of discussion throw in - Team specific information goes into the team threads - For example, I regularly contribute to the Orica thread but have no need to discuss this information in this thread.

Having said that money is the prime motivator in most transfers.

That's a likely scenario - I believe when a rider transfers its usually 70% more money and the other 30% is more opportunity, different program, change etc.
