CCC also confirmed they did make Thomas an offer to ride for them in 2019 and they are waiting for his answer.
I would be really surprised if he went there. Even GvA said it's basically a step back for himself to stay on that team...

They both getting up there in age though. They will be 34 and 33 respectively. How many seasons at the top do they really have? Realistically 2 at most maybe. Riding for a smaller team on big wages and unquestioned leadership, might be what they want.

I think Thomas best bet to win another one is staying at Sky though and hope he can have that same form and no crashes/mechanicals.

A strong team in the classics is good to have for the final selection but you can still win if you are strong enough. So riding for a small team is secondary there for Van Avermaet.

Which will apparently be known as "Continuum Sport", or is that the shareholder company? (Like Slipstream for EF)
I believe the correct term is "paying agent", which is the company owning the team. Continuum Sport always (like a continuum) was the paying agent of the BMC Team.

They signed Evenepoel and 2 new trainees, 3 if you count Asgreen.

Lotto Soudal is far more worrying. Has Ewan been confirmed already?

I wouldn't worry about them, they have their budge fixed for next year. And they're among the latest to confirm their transfers every year. It was general knowledge that the Keuk would join and they only announced at the end of august.

And nothing about De Plus, Schachmann, Lampaert, Terpstra.

Lampaert renewed (at least that is what someone in this thread said). And De Plus is leaving. But so far no info on the other two. I would guess they keep Terpstra after the spring he had. Where would he go? He's been at QS for years and is the captain for the cobbled races since Boonen retired. He has everything he wants. Money, a strong team and the freedom to go for it if he has the legs.

Schachmann is an interesting case though. He was cheap under his neo pro contract but two wins at WT-level will get him some offers for sure!

Yes but nothing official about Lampaert and De Plus.

I don't mind Tejay to Slipstream. They have a decent GC team and I think Tejay has been in need of a change of scenery for awhile now. Hopefully the more relaxed/laid back personality of the team will help him as well.

He said that after announcing the maes deal. Quickstep becomes a smaller sponsor just like maes will be so he still needs a head sponsor and more money. Thats why lefevere is thinking about putting that wolfpack name on their kit next year if they cant find a new head sponsor.

Oh... the beer!

I was thinking about the rider, and was wondering what I'd missed...
