Chevrier's lack of improvement has been quite a disappointment

Yeah he seemed very promising to me also.

Hansen was around with the MJ group as long as Tolhoek in the TDF mountains so he could bring the same I guess.

I'm sure Lotto didn't sign him up out of pity, I'm guessing their tests showed he still has something left in his legs.
With all those climbers they need some rouleurs as well and Martin is about the best left available with Dennis and Küng snapped up by other teams.

More bad news for Sunweb. They are only losing riders and haven't signed anyone with the profile to help Dumoulin yet. Time is ticking.

They aren't making it any easier for themselves with their ''policy''. It's not a coincidence their team only has like 6 different nationalities. There were tons of useful riders on the market this year, but if they aren't Dutch, Belgian, German or Australian (or something close to that) they are automatically disqualified. They'll probably sign Hirschi from the development team and then Dumoulin has to wait for another few years until he is developed into a solid dom.

Mitchelton seems to bleed a lot of talent too.

Plus they probably never intended to fork out the cash for an elite level climbing dom. Dumoulin was dumb af to extend his contract for as long as he did. Or just isn't dominant enough to look out for his own best interests.

yeah, he should have gone for a short extension and then he could've gone to almost any high profile team with proper support

I was wondering then and am wondering now.

How long is Dumoulin's contract? 2020?

after Valgren and Kreuziger, Gasparotto is on his way to Dimension Data

they are building a very nice team for 2019. good job. hope they deliver

So... they've basically signed the AGR top-three?

One placing at a time. Next up: Sagan and Valverde, no doubt.
