Now they might very well be in the position to have a rider in yellow early and the other two leaders are just riding around not knowing what to do with their good legs.

- Ballerini will leave Androni because he wants to ride the cobbled classics, has a few offers, but according to Savio it's probably going to be Astana.
- Vendrame, Belletti Masnada and Cattaneo have resigned with Savio, Ivan Sosa and Kevin Rivera will also stay and Savio would like to have Sosa riding his his first gt next year and it looks like nearly all the bigger names will stay with the team.
Edit: i forgot to post the source.

That I like very much. I'm curious about Sosa's program for the remainder of the season as well. From what I've heard, he is now being eyed as the leader for the Colombian NT for l'Avenir (and the World Championships), but I don't know if Savio has any plans with him that would make him unavailable during that time.

I haven't read much about program in general, but he is on the early start list for the Sibiu Tour. Should be a race that suits him pretty well

Apart from some minor tweaks, his program looks really similar to Egan's in 2017. Savoie, Sibiu, l'Avenir? Let's hope.

Wonder where Porte will end up ? The deadline he gave them until the end of May is just about here. Riders like GVA will also be looking elsewhere you would think unless BMC are about to make an announcement or are in negotiations with new sponsors.

GVA was rumoured to Bahrain-Merida. Porte will probably stay with the new Deloitte team next year I think.

And Ben O'Connor extends at DD for two more years - He's one I wanted at Mitchelton Scott - Ben is brave staying at DD.

GVA no priority for Bahrain anymore

they want to reinforce around Nibali and see for a successor as well, LottoNL, Katusha might be remaining teams if BMC doesn't go through or perhaps Quick Step?
I hope GVA doesn't go to BM. I want Nibali to go for cobbles classics in the future and with GVA there that would become very difficult. I'm still hoping that they'll sign Ciccone.
Btw for how long does roglic have a contract with LottoNL? He would fit quite well into BM too.

He just extended his contract for 2 more years, otherwise he'd been perfect for the team, they seem to sign every good Slovenian rider that they can get. :D

yep, seems to be more or less similar. He is also in Bihor this week (and not too unlikely to smash the competition there as well)

O’Connor knows that if he goes to MS he’s behind Chaves, Yates x 2, Haig, Nieve, Kreuziger, and possibly Howson while at Di Data he’s just embarrassed their best climber. Good decision.

I suspect one Yates will be at a different team next year and i suspect Chaves will no longer be a GC leader.

I wonder if BMC completely collapse whether one of Dennis or Porte could go to MS. It would guarantee having an extra one of the 4 big name aussie riders on their team (the others include Ewan and Matthews> Gerrans is still a big name but with no results forthcoming and Haig is not there yet) and would boost more support. If Chaves cannot be a GC rider anymore and one of the Yates leave, why not give Porte a few last chances for GT GC and with Dennis he's bound to be up there in most stage races with his ITT, and could continue to improve in GT's.

Simon Yates is likely to leave the team because keeping both brothers is too expensive. So there's basically no way they can afford Porte.

And there's also no reason to believe that Chaves is not a GC rider anymore by the way.

I suspect it may be A.Yates who leaves Mitchelton Scott - More chance of me flying to the moon than Porte ending up at MS.

That seems premature for a guy who was on two GT podiums not that long ago.

Why is that? Because they want to give their youngish GC guys their chances or because of some drama behind the scenes?

Mitchelton Scott want to bring on Haig and Chaves has bonked at his last two GT's - Chaves will still be a joint leader ( sort of ) at the Vuelta, but may be best suited to one week and one day races - Budget is a concern with Yates x 2 and Ewan off contract - MS want to retain a marquee Aussie rider, hence the keen-ness to retain Ewan.

Beppe Conti indiscreto yesterday:

Quintana to Astana
Ion Izagirre (return) to Movistar
Yates was supposed to go to UAE but after his Giro Orica want him to stay
The other Yates to Trek
Caruso to Sky
Ulissi to EF
And some other recycled news like van Avermaet and van Aert to Bahrain.

Aru won't ride GTs next year (with Aru agent seated next to him laughing :D )

Ah, Beppe Conti. Now we know 8 different things that definitely won't happen under any circumstances

According to het nieuwsblad bahrain isnt interested anymore in gva. They want to concentrate on their core business which is nibali and developing a successor. This came straight from rik verbrugghe s mouth so i guess this should be correct
I dont believe in van aert going to bahrain.
