Yeah, I think I read that somewhere a while back. Looks like we might have 17 PT teams next year then.

Tis' a good thing. More wildcards the better imo.
some great teams, and riders in the 2nd tier.
I like the idea of having only the strongest teams in the PT (say maybe 14 teams).

Have Fuji actually brought anyone in yet? They've lost Kiserlovski, Vigano, Intxausti, Bailetti, Kessiakoff, and now maybe DLF. How many riders do they have left?
So far as I can tell, they have won barely anything. They must surely be bottom of the PT rankings

Won a stage at the Vuelta. Which is more GT stage wins then Quick Step, AG2R won all year.

yeah but quickstep won RVV and P/R

Quick Step has had a season of two halves. They started off the season so well (wins in Australia and Qatar) and a couple of big Classics, then the form dropped off big time.

...and Silence Lotto has had it the opposite way round. Team in crisis in the spring, Evans and Gilbert dominate in the Autumn.

BBox won 2 Tour stages and look what happened to them!

Agree, that the man to get is Cobo. Astana will, I suspect be buying mainly Spanish riders, so he must be high on their hit list.

I agree. If fuji do fall apart, expect a few to join astana, as well as maybe plaza and other spaniards.

As far as I know, Fuji only has signed Björn Thurau, and the transfer of Intxausti to Euskaltel isn't clear. If Fuji find a sponsor they could force Beñat to stay.

Fedrigo stays with BB although he had hinted at leaving, after the team lost the PT status. It's probably because he still has a contract for another year...

Alan Davis is wanted by Astana, and his contract contains a clause that supposedly would allow him to leave QST.

Cardenas is said to go to another PT squad, and he is hoping to ride 2 major vueltas...

Beñat Intxausti hasn't joined EUS (yet?), because he hasn't been released by Fuji (yet?)

Rafael Valls (22, Burgos Monumental) and David Gutiérrez (27, Camargo) are said to sign for Fuji

Gasparotto team is Lampre, and not Barloworld. Another blow for Lampre, losing all their quality riders.

Don't trust that source too much. Schär and Morabito has both signed for BMC.

I thought that also, but people also assumed that Zubeldia had signed for Radioshack.

I think this gives Astana a very strong team for the Giro and Tour next year. Plenty of support for Contador in the mountains.
