For those (like me) who missed it.

Superb ride by Dan Martin. Equal parts tactical and physical; he hid in the bunch and let the big Italian teams chase each other down, got in the right counter-attack when the race came back together in the final 2km, and then just rode Pozzovivo right off his wheel with 750m to go

Because they don't ride for team sky!:D

It should be called Team Shy. Shy of winning. Shy of working. Shy of the front end. Shy of bad weather. Shy of any race 1.2 and up. Shy of classics, tours and any continental race. Shy of stepping up. Anyone like to add a Team Shy quote??

I would watch your back for the next few days as I imagine TSF will hunt you down...But I do agree. They aren't a bad team but their tatics in Oman I think were pretty poor. They have also stuffed up a lot of leadouts throughout the year!

Woah very strong ride.

Well, I finally have watched all 65kms of yesterday's tv coverage.
Yes, Dan was extremely strong and not just on the final lap.
He was one of the first to make the final elite selection on the penultimate lap.
Cunego got "jumped" in exactly the same way on both these ascents.
Quite the mini World champs feel to the race, which, I suppose, is hardly surprising.

RAI look to be recording the Coppa Agostoni, today, since coverage has been extended to 16-30 to 18-00CET. (well after it's finishing schedule)

I fear you are right - Rail Sport 2 are now showing what looks like a large MTB race in the Trentino mountains - beautiful scenery but little to excite.
It's the Salito Charly Gaul

yea, but ACF will be pointing out that a BMC rider finished 'on the same time as the winner' if they roll in 80th in the péloton on a sprint stage and claim that this is proof of how good and competitive the team are.

Well, in a peloton of 200 80th is closer to the winner than it is to the lanterne rouge...

He had some close finishes in poland and was close in Tre valli.
