I suspect there are many on here that would forgive almost anyone if their confession harmed Armstrong.

Armstrong, Landis and Hamilton should be treated with contempt in equal measure.

In equal measure once they all come forward. We're still only 2 for 3 at this point.

Tweaked that for you:

In other words, it's very reasonable to believe both the following:

Lance used EPO and Blood
Tyler and Flyod are not lying about witnessing it
Because they told the truth under oath for obvious reasons [/QUOTE]

the above is off topic.

If Lance did what Floyd and Tyler have done, he would be forgiven too.

Poor Andy, I suspect Fanboys like you would forgive every lie, criminal act, etc. by Fabiani, Bruyneel, Ferrari and so on, as long they help the case for the one and only love Armstrong.

It's funny people are praising Hamilton for turning on Armstrong.

The ONLY reason why he confessed was because he was put before a grand jury.

There are NO heroes. Zero.

After Armstrong goes down, let's get Indurain.

Yeah! Then lets go after Pantani!

Oh, please. Honestly, if you cheat you cheat. What is with forgiveness? This is sport, not a confessional. If you really believe in forgiveness, do you really believe Tiger Woods, Arnold S. Or Mark McGuirre. Or Pete Rose? Would you forgive OJ if he came clean?

the official Tyler Hamilton 60 Minutes competition thread

From the boulderreport

http://bicycling.com/blogs/boulderreport/2011/05/20/believe-tyler/

The 60 Minutes season finale is Sunday and rumors have held for months that the show was working on a long and detailed Armstrong segment.

They don’t have just Hamilton, or even just Hamilton and Andreu, although sources we spoke with had no information on who else might have spoken with the reporters and producers on the project.

On a side note. I would have been funny if 60 minutes asked Tyler if he regrets not reading the name on the blood bag more closely!

So who else did they interview that may spill the beans.

We have a guess the break thread. Sort of the same but different 3 days till we find a ´winner´

I will put my money on JV I think he wants to tell.

sorrry this is a bit off topic but
Tyler hamilton recieved an 8 year ban from cycle racing but is now a cycling coach!
How can a man who is banned from cycle racing be allowed to train people for cycle racing?
the lunatics are running the asylum.
I am no Armstrong supporter but if you really look at the key witnesses so far they lack any credibatility, other than the last confession (and they have both spent a lot and raised public funds to support thier innocence, which has now been denied)

Tyler Hamilton has always been a liar ( the pain was so bad i ground my teeth down) (i;ve got a broken collar bone) i spoke to him in Darlington and he is a real nice guy- but i think the Armstrong defence team (if it came to that) would make mincemeat out of him,
He has run public campaigns for his innocence wnich he now rejects so lets see him pay the money he took dishonestly from cycling fans back before he does any thing else.
and hand his medal in
thanks

Recognizing fanboy talking points is not at all difficult.
And he already sent back the medal, so now they can give it to doper Ekimov.

I see the irony. Is it proven that Eki fueled? Can you cite some information, please?

Fabiani should be writing thank you notes to Landis and Hamilton for giving him so many billable hours.

I wonder if Fabiani isn't regretting taking on Liestrong as a client. This isn't going to do his reputation any good long term, the easy money isn"t worth it.

Good on Tyler giving back the medal, I just hope it doesn't go to Ekimov - or if it does I hope Tyler spit on it before giving it back.

*** mod notes ***
This is a response to post #580 - both were merged into this thread from another thread

How many "cheating dogs" barking the same bark will it take? We know there's 4 already - Landis, Hamilton, Andreu, and Swart - and those are only the one's that have gone public. No doubt that Novitzky's talked to a lot more people than that, and I doubt anyone is going to perjure themselves to protect Armstrong. And of course that doesn't include the non-riders like O'Reilly and Betsy Andreu and Lemond and Startt etc.

One or two can be dismissed. Eight or nine or ten saying basically the same thing, then it starts to get a little tougher to ignore.

Marty Jemison. He's in a tough spot and doesn't have anything to gain by avoiding the truth.

Two of those folks have voluntarily come forward and told the truth. One still lies. Why should we treat them the same?

JV is not gonna tell unless he gets before a grand jury and even then he is not gonna comment in public. He's running a team 'in the soup' now, so he knows which direction to spit.

Let's get some perspective here.

Armstrong's guilt is clear to all in cycling except the increasingly small minority who don't want to question and think for themselves.

The debate is now how best to proceed and how to deal with him once the truth is out.

The current investigation looks likely to come down against Armstrong. The likes of Vaughters, Leiphimer and Hincapie appear more uneasy as the story unravels. If, as expected, Armstrong continues to deny, deny, deny then he will have to take what he's given.

Personally I would like to see the world of cycling disown and ignore him. In my mind his crime is riding roughshod over the sport I love. Bullying and cheating his way up and lieing on his way down. Let's be rid of him and leave him to the GJ.

It will be interesting to see what the IOC says regarding the medal. Personally I think there should be no winner, or just put an asterisk next to his name and take away the hardware. But I feel the same about several races of the past. I feel that in many ways the UCI could simply say no one won the 2006 Tour. Or the 2010 Tour for that matter.

I mean, if they go back and strip Lance of his Tour wins, they aren't exactly going to hand over the wins to Jan and Marco. Some of those years you'd have to get to about the 8th or 15th or 43rd placed rider to find someone potentially "clean".

This story is obviously a lie, and NYT is in on the whole thing. I read on factsforlance.org that Tyler made a deal with the federal government to keep his medal. This is all a sham.

Who are you going to believe, factsforlance.org or the NYT?

I bet the writer of that piece is ghost-writing Tyler's book...

Well yeah factsforlance.org is the place for REALLLL NEWS. That other Fish Hack writing for a Fish Wrap like the times is making it all up.....😀

Anyone seen this from Business Insider?

Loved this part:

Lance Armstrong was given every opportunity to appear on 60 Minutes but he and his lawyers consistently declined. We consider this investigation to be the most thoroughly researched report ever done on the use of performance enhancing drugs in cycling and our story, this Sunday at 7pm, will speak for itself.

I think someone might have poked the wrong lion...
