Of course Hamilton is correct it doesn't make sense. We know from various information sources that not everyone who worked with Ferrari was getting doping advice. Ferrari was a sports Dr first after all and he has a CV in the field. Of course working with Ferrari is very suss but still not beyond the realms of possibility.

In contrast, Fuentes is all about doping, no evidence for a genuine sports medicine background at all.
Who do we know that worked with Ferrari without doping? Other than Bileka for a while, and even he ended up being doped by Ferrari.

I'd say, look at the amounts of money payed to Ferrari: four-digits: training advice, five-digits or more: dope.

This is in marked contrast to Hein & Pat stating one to two percent.

The quote is also relevant to the thread on 'What constitutes proof that a cyclist/team are doping?' and the many previous threads on 'They all dope'.

Personally, I find it fascinating that a qualified authority believes that 20% did not dope. Who are they?

Certainly not Benoit or Freiere based on their recent comments.

Dave.
time for Savulescu to usher in a new sport paradigm imo

I am not for doping, but hey, when the emperor is wearing his best Victoria's secret thong, he should be told there is no vpl

Tyler Hamilton will appear on german TV Saturday evening in the popular sports programme 'Das aktuelle Sportstudio'. Its a live programme so it might be interesting, even if he probably won't say anything really new.

Wonderful book, always liked Tyler, although the contents are far greater than anyone could believe..It even changed my wife's perception of LA..

I'd put 2k on Lance never admitting!

Unfortunately LA has put himself in a position where confessing to doping is also admitting to perjury. He will loose many looming civil suits which effectively makes the case, but you will never hear it from his lips.

Gotta love the way Hamliton continues to spin money on this.Nobody gives a s.h.i.t about Moncoutie and the like.
It pays to dope still. Cycling needs another layer peeled off and JB is the man to do that. Go Johan!

Would you rather he kept the omerta?

Moncoutié chose his own path. He prefers to be quiet, he wouldn't enjoy the spotlight, so he can't lead any crusade.

I was very happy to purchase the book.

It cost me over an order of magnitude less money than I contributed to the Kimmage fund.

I am still happy to have done both.

You are criticizing me, and others like me, here. Not Hamilton.

Are you suggesting that we are fools?

Dave.

Its a book. Some are good others bad. Only you can judge if it was worth it to you.

My comment was neutral. Simply observing the situation. Hamilton is making money and living a bit of celebrity life at the moment. Good for him.

At the same time, I doubt a clean rider from the same period could achieve anything near the "success". Nobody would care.
