I find it wholly believable. Indeed I doubt if any young rider gets up on a Saturday morning and pedals around town looking for dope on his/her own. Doping with EPO and blood doping is serious stuff. You don't do it on your own. If you do try to, you are probably more likely to die than get up your next 5% 1 mile climb.

I believe Tyler. Not because there is overwhelming evidence, but simply because that is what makes sense. Kids were told: "If you wanna race, you dope." I think kids are still being told that, probably even more.

No links. No evidence.

If there is a sad part the sordid tale it will be the part where USA Cycling coaches, TW an others get away with encouraging Tyler, Lance, George and others to seek the means to "be more professional". They all bought into the philosophy young and the coaches and hangers-on went along for the ride.

LA PR bingo:
bitter ex-teammate 1 point
misdirection 1+ bonus point
ETA: they're telling lies about LA 1 point

Total score: 4 points. You need to try much, much harder. Not yet a pass.

To increase your score, try opening with, "I am not a Lance fan" and use the words, "witch-hunt" or "unconstitutional".

Thank you for playing.

"Long time lurker, first time poster" is always good for running up points...

That's not fair to new members of the forum. This is almost as bad as Joe Papp's earlier call for a minimum number of posts before someone is allowed to contribute to the Clinic.

So that's not a very good addition to "Lance PR Bingo". A good addition would be "witchhunt".

"What ultimately makes the book so damning, however, is that it doesn’t require readers to put their full faith in Hamilton’s word. In the book’s preface, which details its genesis, Coyle not so subtly addresses Armstrong’s supporters by pointing out that, while the story is told through Hamilton, nine former Postal teammates agreed to cooperate with him on The Secret Race, verifying and corroborating Hamilton’s account. Nine teammates. That fact is the first punch thrown at Armstrong’s supporters—and it might be the most damaging one"

it's going to get harder and harder to spin the "bitter liar" thing...

Really?
How on earth could 9 other teammate have intimate knowledge about what have been said between 2 people in a personal conversation behind closed doors? Even be able to confirm it ever took place?
Maybe it was time to get your head out of the "oh my god now we know the truth because of the Tyler book" cardboard box and understand the guy could have other reasons to write it than the pathetic "come clean and heal my self for a better conscience so I can live with my self" attitude, if you think Tyler is the savior, then halleluja, and good day to you Sir.

But just because little Tyler writes a book, dosen´t mean I have to eat it raw, and believe anything in it, it´s an opinion, this is a public forum and you obviously have no idea what that means.
Better luck next time.

I think it's the one where Lance gets exiled to the wilderness for seven years and seven tours and until he is delivered the ten names cast in stone. But I may be getting mixed up.

Lool this is so freaking amazing, I put a question mark to how believable the so called "secrets" and revelations in Tylers book are, and immediately you must be a Lance fan and immediately you have no idea what you are talking about...

Talking about being ignorant...Jesus!!

Well, they're ALL admitted dopers. And Liggett says that none of them will ever have to work again cuz the feds gave them white lunch bags of money.

No wait, someone gave them white lunch bags. Was it money in them? So many details to try to keep track of.

Make my case?

I made an argument already in case you forgot "How on earth could 9 other teammate have intimate knowledge about what have been said between 2 people in a personal conversation behind closed doors? Even be able to confirm it ever took place?"

Oh wait, Tyler said so, it´s confirmed!
Oh boy!!

Yes, it does. Because Tyler Hamilton would know a lot more about what went on than you ever will.

You choosing not to believe it is not an opinion. It's abject denial of fact.

Grrrr - pre-ordered it last night, and now this  UK libel laws are a disgrace.

Can anyone in the know fill in the blanks so I know what I'm missing?

BTW - long time lurker, first time poster - and it really is true! But only because the Clinic has become so unreadable without the ignore function, and you have to register to use it...

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Could anyone smuggle a proper copy into the country, please?

And why on earth do they call it a Lance Armstrong book? I thought it was about Tyler Hamilton :)

EDIT:
Ah, after reading the article it seems changes will just be of the usual "Lance Armstrong has always denied all doping allegations against him" type... There's probably going to be a few extra "alleged" in there as well...

A bit like Willy Voet's book. A much more revealing read in French than the English translation for the UK market.

suit yourself................but remember this book is hardly a revelation

it just confirms what is becoming increasingly wider known

why are you so set on working hard to make others accept your thoughts?

On the other hand, the fact that a few edits to the book is a actually a story worthy of mainstream news coverage does indicate a major shift in the press' attitude.

Not available here for another two and half weeks at the very earliest (and it will be the UK version), by which time most of it will have been quoted online anyway.
