This morning, as reported by AS, both Adam Yates and Tim Wellens travelled to the start of stage 16 in team cars, separated from the rest of their teammates on the team bus.

Ayuso is a snake and Gianetti doesn't like him after what he saw in the Tour. Even his DNF was kinda weird but I guess we will never know how severe was his Covid. However I look to riders like Thomas, Yates, Wellens, etc and they simply don't quit.

The contrast is striking and paints Ayuso in a very bad light. I hope he has some strong people around him who can help him show some personal growth and reduce the selfishness of the way he rides and conducts himself.

We just didn’t put two and two together that it was a leap year this year meaning Ayuso’s contract could be up.

Who knows,there are teams with deep pockets looking for guys (desperately lookin for guys!) who could came to an agreement if UAE are fed up with Ayuso. But,if the word's gone around about him being "difficult", then he might be doing 1.1 races for the next 4 years.

UAE gained 28 minutes in two stages over Visma. They don’t have 3 riders that can finish close if they ride hard to try and crack Pogacar. Otherwise it would probably be around 70-80 minutes.

Just like that Visma caught made up a lot of ground on UAE. We’re in for a treat the next 3 stages.

Why not just let him go for a small fee? Keeping him on the team, when neither want to be there, makes no sense. 4 years is a long time.

Movistar would glady swap Mas for Ayuso, I think, but if Ayuso's made a bad reputation for himself, then even they would have second thoughts.

The only way that's possible would be if vuelta has a contract with Ayuso? But would that override his team DS decision?
