How yates would lose 6/8 min when you said that pogi Vingegaard could lose 6/8 min? Probably yates would lose 14/15 min.

Believe I said those two would lose that time over an old fashioned course with > 100km of flat ITT, when TTs were decided by several minutes. Not 60. That would take a Rasmussen 2005 performance to lose that kind of time

The one making sh*t up is you. See the TT from the Vuelta last year. The great Simon Yates lost nearly 2 minutes in 30 km. Him losing a minute over 11 km isn't entirely unreasonable

Furthermore, I was talking Adam Yates losing that kind of time in a TT

But keep making up sh*t, it's what you do
Why not immediately round up 1 min 42 to 5 minutes while you're at it. He lost 33 secs/10 km. I leave the rest of the maths up to you.

when you use hyperbole like that, your showing you are on crack. I simply rounded to the nearest minute

And Yates when he won the 9km TT at the giro, he didnt have Rog and Remco to deal with. Of course, he can only beat the competition that shows up, but when faced with superior riders, he shipped a boatload of time

In the only strong stage race where he didn't have to abandon because of Covid last year he lost 11 seconds to van Aert, 1 second to Kung and beat Bissegger, who is a specialist at these type of distances by 10 seconds in a 13.4km TT.

But the Sean Yates argument doesn't matter. I was referring to Adam Yates

Adam Yates lost 23 seconds to Lampaert in the opening TT of the Tour of 13.2 km to Lampaert in way worse conditions. He finished inside of 20 seconds to all the other top TT'ers in the world.

He lost 13 seconds to Evenepoel in the Basque TT as well.

Of course the answer is always Brioche and Kuss. Don't make me choose.
It's easy to choose, it's horses for courses.

Are you looking for a quick snack? Choose brioche.
Are you looking for something to help you maximise your performance on a mountaintop finish? Still choose brioche. The hunger knock can be brutal.

Wasn't the basque TT highly technical where Evenepoel couldnt get his engine fully reved and didn't have his aero advantage? Same issue he had in the worlds last year?

Can we please stop the imagninary *** measuring contest between Remco and other (at times imaginary) performances from other riders. Remco won the Vuelta, Worlds and L-B-L and has nothing left to proof to anyone. Of course he can win the Giro or the Tour against any competition and to know that you don't have to start to compare every piss ride he is doing with other performances of people like Pogi. It is getting stupid again.

Yates with his patented UAE Tour performance. This is really his cup of tea. The performance of Boucard was also really impressive. It's kind of an early season shape that we saw with other riders in the EMirates in the last years e.g. Hirt but I think he can be also a guy to watch for an impressive season. he's getting better and better. As is also Zwiehoff. Also a late starter as a Pro so he seems to have room to grow. His first Top 10 in GC WT. Maybe he is getting now more chances to gon on it's own as he was the better climber compared to Buchmann in Oman and UAE. For Buchmann this is the first top10 in WT outside of the GTs since 2019. Not a great results but his best one week race for a long time. rubio today back at a more normal level for him.

He will not be in top 5 in either the Giro or TdF this year or next.

Exactly, Remco lost by 10 secs to Yates, but only 6 secs to Pog last year in a race that they, Yates and Pog, have to win for UAE.

Congratulations to Adam Richard Yates for taking the stage and moving up to third place overall. And to Remco Evenepoel for winning overall.

Was a nice stage to watch. We got to see some pressure put on Evenepoel from Yates and some self-pressure on Evenepoel to win the stage. Yates was more or less in control through the ultimate climb and won the stage in great fashion. When Kuss was dropped. Well, there goes Giro. But luckily it looks like Kuss is not yet 100% and Evenepoel struggling a bit and on the limit. When trying to catch Yates. There is still hope. Evenepoel likely to lose some weight and to train a bit more seriously on altitude. Then first real feedback to come at Catalunya.

I waste too many minutes of my life reading your congratulatory opening paragraphs after every race.

I know. I found a purpose. Thank you.

But could you at least be a bit more consistent and always use the riders' full names?
To mix things up, you could also start making up some middle names for riders who don't appear to have any.

Otherwise I'm more of a fan of jmdirt's approach, where all is said in just a few words.
