I always find it so weird that peloton doesn't just talk to eachother and says let's slow down, let's be safe, there's no reason to go fast, it won't split due to the wind anyways

Maybe if there wasn't a breakaway rider (who is getting car draft). Now they need to catch him, and therefore ride fast on slippery roads

It's definitely sketchy out there with the sand. I'm assuming it's way worse on the track they are are skipping as it's a way smaller road with higher dunes.

You have 25km of headwind coming up, Dillier does not stand a single chance if they don't race to every roundabout like their life depends on it.

Time bonuses valid for the General Individual Classification are envisaged in eachstage.According to article 2.6.019 of the UCI Regulations, the time bonuses will be as follows:

• for each Intermediate Sprint, the time bonuses for the first three riders crossingthe line will be respectively 3’’, 2’’ and 1’’;
• upon finishing each stage, respectively 10’’, 6’’ and 4’’ time bonuses will beassigned to the first three riders crossing the line.

Only for the first stage, the Intermediate Sprints will follow the regulations below:

• Intermediate Sprint #1: points only (no time bonuses);
• Intermediate Sprint #2: points + time bonuses
