Bol, Tiberi, Malucelli and Romele completing the top-5 of an uphill sprint. Evidently the time that oil money could buy great fields is over...

Bit of a weird comment imo. It's just Philipsen not being here, and Merlier but he's injured, same with Kooij. They would all be here. Philipsen changed his schedule for some reason. I mean obviously this race is not gonna attract a lot of puncher/classic type of riders who would be good on a fnish like this. They would be useless here apart from this stage

Climbers field is stronger than ever.

Given the circumstances, it's very disappointing that Remco didn't try.Tiberi is very slow and still managed to finish third.

Saving legs for tomorrow. They went for FFB today, that was the plan. He’ll destroy opposition tomorrow.
A 600-meter sprint won't tire you out for tomorrow.

What does that mean? He rides better ITT in the wind than when there’s no wind? Sure…
Evenepoel will have some people to chase tomorrow which will help while Toro will start last.
I expect around 20 secs of advantage for Remco.
If he puts 30 secs into him it would be crazy.

Del Toro is faster than Pogacar on a sprint-ish finish like this, it’s his climbing that’s in question
So Tiberi too, because he achieved a better result. And obviously he isn't; the other day he lost a sprint against Almeida and Pellizzari, and another against Scaroni.

Today's conditions were very different from last year's, due to the crash and the wind.

Tiberi's result is the clearest indicator.
