Carlos Alberto Betancur (Picture) 20y-old 1.75 m and 61 kg runner up at the world Championships U23 in 2009 and winner of the BabyGiro (Bio,Piccolo-Giro) this year is to start for "Orgullo Paisa" in the Higuito Gordo Navideño (3-11 November) in Costa Rica.

when you see how well sarmiento did this year than you can imagine how easy it will be to adapt for betancourt who is much more talented and way more allround than sarmiento

It is not that simple. Duarte was more talented than Sarmiento and was not able to find his place in European racing during his Androni year. Adapting also requires a certain personality and a bit of luck.

not true. at all, show me one race duarte rode with andorni in europe

he was put in a hotel for months until he was so homesick he threw his contratc away and took first plane home to colombia to ride rest of year with idrd bogota, including vuelta colombia that year

duarte than came back in 2008 to become world champion
