Sky recruited three (I think) riders from the list this summer:

J. Hunt - 7
M. Rogers - 7
C. Knees - 6

Weird huh? For a team that professed to using the Biopassport to ensure that it only recruited 'clean' riders.

On the other hand Barry is a 0 - so maybe they are reforming riders ;)

Re: the averages by country. It's worth pointing out that these have the potential to be misleading if used as a straight ranking as the number of riders by country varies enormously.

I wonder why anyone would buy him then?

because this list is bull****. we don't know anything about this or even if this is correct. besides look at how little was needed for uci to charge guys like valjavec and pellizotti. barredo has never been charged neither has popovych and one look at results, especially popovych tells you he must be clean or using some crap doping.

Not as good as he was though. Valuable domestique in 2009. People's performance can change for other reasons though.

Can somebody explain to me Ryo's schtick? There are no emoticons in his post so I'm not sure wth is going on. Thanks.

I honestly think that if you really want a clean sport, then wikileaks style releases have to happen. I think the UCI is as dirty as the riders that dope and the only way its going to change is to have a huge dirty bomb of information dropped on the press.

The LA payoff and the obfuscation of Contador's positive were close...but if something out there showed that they actively shielded certain riders from tests that would hurt them, well...let it all come out and let the chips fall where they may!

Agree here. Normally publishing this sort of data would not not be right. But the UCI is so rife with corruption this is good. Need to expose all the crooks. I bet some of the riders are having an "Oh sh!t" moment right now.
Wonder what team has the highest average. Shack.
And how does Horner get a zero?

He acknowledges doping was widespread in a mythical past but he reckons it cleaned up itself overnight for no discernible reason (along a somewhat hazy timeline).

OK, thanks.

I'm still trying to figure out how Canc riding everybody off his wheel the last couple of years means he is clean.

Got that right. When a rider is doing something that is so not normal, chances are it is just not right. These guys are the best of the best and there is very little separating them. For Canc to just ride off and dare anyone to follow...OK

I don't know why you have a problem with known dopers having lower values than you'd expect. We're always talking about how having a good program is largely about being able to dope while still fooling the biological passport.
