Bruseghin isn't a bad shout actually, though Caisse haven't had a positive in a long long time despite a fair few links (Moreno, Sánchez, Valverde) and some less-than-convincing transfer policy (Plaza, Zaballa, Cobo). And his 3rd at the 2008 Giro, with a not too dissimilar route, is one of those results that were suspect.

Of those - Maté and Moreno have been linked to Jesús Losa, and Xavier Tondó used to ride for LA-MSS, who were raided and half the team banned in 2008.
