Another win for SFR in the men's, and a different rider. Puck in another demonstration.. they keep mentioning Alpecin-Deceuninck, but she's on the women's Fenix-Deceuninck team (though the same management, etc)

Sammie with another fine ride, and podium place; I wonder if any road teams have been keeping tabs on her, or she's like Lecomte, and is all in on MTB.

With no Evie, or the Holmgren twins, Trek were pretty anonymous; quite a contrast with Specialized who they should be competing with.

With no World Cup racing since Crans-Montana last year, his ranking has dropped; so no XCC on Friday, and a lowly start position likely on Sunday.......unless one of his Road or CX rankings allows him to start from higher up. 4th or 5th row like MvdP did in Nove Mesto.
I think he should be eligible for a 4th or 5th row, he is currently ranked 18th on the road. He is not longer ranked at cross.
But hey the rules seem to be made to be confusing.

Rules (from reddit - not sure if 100% accurate):

The official rule change reads as follows: The starting places 33 to 40 at the elite men's World Mountain Bike Cross Country Championship will accommodate all riders ranked in the top-10 of any UCI Ranking. With the exception of the individual UCI Road Ranking, for which that exception applies to the top-20.

- so 5th row (same as for MVdP in Nove Mesto)
