AmenWelp, thats a lame ending to an otherwise epic race
No, this ain't road racing. Will this be sanctioned
I think he knew going into a sprint he was in trouble so took a chance.Yeah it was a cold move, he knew whoever came out front after the split in the path was probably winning and just kamikazed through, takes a lot of nerve but it's a fair strategy.
What do you want to do about it? They take two different lines and have to get into one path after that. There's no time for rock paper scissors at such a moment. So in MTB it's allowed to tackle your opponent with your bike and ride him into a tree?
Yep, also see it like that actually. That was the actual sprint around that corner. Whoever gets the curve, wins it.Yeah it was a cold move, he knew whoever came out front after the split in the path was probably winning and just kamikazed through, takes a lot of nerve but it's a fair strategy.
And, without watching too much MTB, you can't probably not crash the other from the bike going into his back wheel in a situation like that. But Pidcock had the better acceleration there, and had his front wheel 20cm up in the curve, so it was probably ok.What do you want to do about it?
