I don't know if he has any points - so there was no chance of racing the XCC. He is in the Top 10 rankings of both Road & CX, so might get a 5th row start for the XCO race......providing that rule is still in place.I assume MVDP doesn't have enough points at the moment to start the XCC?

They do keep changing the XCC course at Nove Mesto - I think the first few years were better.I won't sugar coat it...that is a PoS course!
In Swedish TV the announcer said she didn’t feel well this morning.the rule still applies
weird is, there is still no info about Jenny's last minute DNS
no one really cares about xcc course though... there are duller xcc courses in WC anyway... the xco one in nove mesto is one of the best and one of the most popular among riders still. They do keep changing the XCC course at Nove Mesto - I think the first few years were better.
Crappy too, because he rode like he thought the guy should just take the shove out of the way...you know, because he's Mathieu van der Poel. The over the bars was deserved...he thinks he is going to mail the WC in, and those guys who race regularly, are far better technical riders. Here's a slice of humble pie, Mathieu.aaaand... he's on the ground again
Yeah, he should have ridden more...humbly? I think the MTB World Cup has gotten a lot more competitive in the past few years and while he might have been able to win without much prep 4-5 years ago, that's clearly no longer the case.Crappy too, because he rode like he thought the guy should just take the shove out of the way...you know, because he's Mathieu van der Poel.
