Probably even more cause Vermaercke has been missing races and Dinham well... I'm not sure if he will ever be on a good level anymore if he even ever starts racing again. And then you have Bardet and Poole who are only coming back now from injury
Last I heard was a stress fracture in his footWhat is happening with Dinham? Three race days since his miracle performance in the 2023 World's.
After itzulia:After pays de loire and todays itzulia stage:
Astana: 419
Cofidis: 296
UnoX: 120
PicNic: 63
Intermarche: 30
may also be due to the birth of his child, though, I guess? I think he still needs to return to Rwanda every now and then for visa reasons, and now has done that already.Intermarché is reacting by having Girmay extend his spring. He'll be riding Limburg, Frankfurt, Morbihan and Tro Bro Leon.
He's out for the foreseeable future. It basically rests on Poole, Bardet, and Onley.Picnic are really struggling. Need Jakobsen to start winning again
Full points this week:After itzulia:
Astana: 612
Cofidis: 431
PicNic: 169
UnoX: 120
Intermarche: 38
Bad for astana that martin got the 3k rule. By that he got before velasco and champoussin and stole 32 points
Bad luck for both Astana and Uno-X today. Apparently Wærenskjold was in the group with the riders that finished from 9th and downwards when he had a bad crash on Carrefour. He could’ve potentially scored 120 points more than he ended up scoring if he had stayed on the bike there. Astana could’ve easily scored a lot more aswell with a bit more luck. But hats of to Intermarche. But really hard developments today. Before the group of ganna rejoined, UnoX hat 6 guys there in the front (5 peloton and 1 break), astana and PicNic 4, Cofidis 2 and Intermarche 2 (1 peloton, 1 break). Then 3 guys of UnoX and 2 of PicNic crashed.
yeah, luck is always a part of it, of course. Mayrhofer and de Bondt had attacked and passed Philipsen in the end already, for example, but then missed the entry to the Velodrome, so more points became available again.Bad luck for both Astana and Uno-X today. Good question, but I have no idea. Mayrhofer said he just followed de Bondt. How did they manage to miss the entrance?
I'm rooting for Astana because I will be forever grateful to Vini for winning the London Olympics race.Firstcycling has Astana on less then 1200 point from WT place of Picnic! In races like FW, AGR, FW, LBL, Astana can score huge if they bring their A-Team. Velasco seems to be on fire.
Champoussin, Velasco, Tejada, Lopez, Scaroni, Ulissi, Conci, Fortunato, Henok
(yes I know the AGR preliminary startlist has other names).
Btw: who is rooting for Astana and who isn't?
Astana attacks in the thirdThe official UCI data comes out Tuesday, but I made this chart today anyway.
