Great win by Dennis it is a shame that his talent isn't match by his personality.
Remco did a brilliant time trial as I expected, next year in Tokyo he will surely be a gold contender.
Ganna won the bronze medal in that final sprint. I didn't know he had this ability for such long time trials.

Insanely hard to make anything of it, but this is what I've come up with for the junior road race:

*: Quinn Simmons (USA)
****: Magnus Sheffield (USA), Marco Brenner (Germany)
***: Sam Watson (UK), Enzo Leijnse (Netherlands), Antonio Tiberi (Italy)
**: Andrea Piccolo (Italy), Andrii Ponomar (Ukraine), Lewis Askey (UK), Hidde van Veenendaal (Netherlands)
*: Gianmarco Garofoli (Italy), Alex Vandenbulcke (Belgium), Frederik Wandahl (Denmark), Axel Laurance (France), Sakarias Løland (Norway)
In another thread you predicted a great 2019 for Piccolo and Tiberi after the WC in Innsbruck. They became European- and World Champion TT respectively this year. I think I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt with this prediction.

It's a reference to the '80's TV series Miami Vice.
Ha, that brings back memories. Don Johnson and his silk blazers, loafers with no socks, lots of pastels, and what did they drive - a Lamborghini or some such? Miami Vice represents all of the 80's excesses.

Back to the Worlds - the time difference has me all messed up, so haven't been able to catch any of the live streams yet. But I hope to at least catch the men's RR on Sunday very early morning, I think it is.

He drove a Ferarri. Actually had 2 different ones. The first one was a Daytona Spyder and the second (the one your thinking of) was the Testarossa. I loved the Testarossa.

I've been watching the even replays of the ITT's on the Olympic Channel so far. Although today I due to my work for today I was able to watch the ITT live before leaving the house.

What's wrong with this? Isn't it used in English? In my country it's a very common term for a silver medalist.
Nothing. It's not normal phrasing in English, but it's easily understood, unless someone is looking to be hyper-critical. I thought it was a fun way of putting it.

All good.

I wasn’t being hyper critical, merely pointing out that literal translations don’t always work.
