Well a British guy did get 4th
It's an international jury. The same one the disqualified the US rider yesterday for the same offence.
My guess is that the Italian's complained, or he's been caught out by his GPS as other's have suggested

Rewatched on Eurosport player, at that point he didn't re-enter the peloton. He is shown later getting again to a car (yes, all look the same) getting a not so sticky bottle (the still from the other twitter) and continuing his work behind and on the side of the cars caravan towards the peloton which by this point is no longer seen. Then we see the front group and... commercial break.
It's a snapshot, that sticky bottle was much shorter than most I've ever seen. If he drafted egregiously, it wasn't in the footage.
where can I buy a Worlds medal?
There is also this lol
Nothing this year is going to top Amstel. It would have been cool enough if Sajnok had won (only danes will understand).
What a race though. Though the recency bias is considerable, I am struggling to point out a better race this year.
No but his teammates will throw bottles at whoever tries to attack him.No official Dutch team reaction? Maybe as a sign of protest Van der Poel will not start on Sunday.
They're not protesting stating some weak af PR ***.No official Dutch team reaction? Maybe as a sign of protest Van der Poel will not start on Sunday.
Honestly can’t tell if you’re being serious or not. If you are, then I ask you to take a deep breath, remember that this was four years ago and adequately punished, and calm down. Hatred of complete strangers, according to various made up studies, is the number one cause of madness in members of cycling forums.More footage:View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0Db10odClg
Oh, wait, that is CN Forum favorite Nibali.
The fu#$ing piece of sh!t cheater.
Should've be DSQed at the time instead of waiting for three hours. But then again, maybe somebody came to them with the footage after the race, or late on.
Can only wonder how Foss, Battistella, Pidcock and Bissegger would've raced the final kilometre without Eekhorn, Higuita and Kron there, which they wouldn't have been if Eekhorn was DSQed at the correct time...
Have to agree - DSQ him at the time, they only had 124km to do it. If none of the race officials saw the offense, then Tough - he should keep his win. He also had an influence in the outcome of the race.
Evidence from non race officials should be in-admissible. The UCI have once again left themselves looking totally amateur & clueless.
It was well established afterwards that his finger got stuck in the window as it closed and he could not get freeMore footage:View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0Db10odClg

Damn I hate UCI and Froome. How could he do this to that young guy?
You do realise we're joking about Froome. What the hell has Froome got to do with anything ??
Some serious weird people on here ...any subject on anything and out come the old hatreds
And Nibali 4 years ago ..insane need
People do know Froome was also thrown off the Giro for holding on to a car
At this years Vuleta the drafting of Roglic and Astana and Roglic holding on to his team car was ignored in te cross winds stage
No consistency. This young guy looked the strongest to me and haven't yet seen anything where he merited having the win taken off him
It was on live TV.In the cases that I know they usually disqualify the riders after the race is finished. Usually after fans and coaches either upload a video or file a complaint. Hard to do evaluation during the race unless he is caught right there.
