Circuit is quite hilly.

No big climbs on the circuit, but a lot of short ramps. It's a bit like Krylatskoye or Brabantse Pijl kind of territory I think - no real sustained climbing but a lot of emphasis on short bursts of acceleration continuously.

The more i see of this parcours, the more i get the vibe this has "Evenepoel long-range attack" written all over it. Looking at Van Vleuten, only confirms that. This is basically a Hammer Climb Limburg 2.0 parcours. Not that he'd necessarily make it to the finish, but he'd at least decimate a large part of the peloton.

There are also a bunch of Android apps you can install on your phone, mediabox, tv, or even computer if you use an emulator, that let you stream loads of sports channels.

I don't think that's really a problem. If he goes 100km from the finish, who is going to follow? Are all the big guns already going to commit that early? Or are they going to send their 2nd in command? Because, how many of those are actually capable of following him? We've seen him drop Wellens, Campenaerts, Skuijns, Masnada... on similar terrain clean out of his wheel. They just couldn't keep up with the pace. Not to mention what he did in Hammer Limburg.

I think actually at this point the Dutch are probably a lot happier than they were a few kilometres back. The impetus has gone out of the chase and Annemiek is gaining a bit more time, while the péloton has got itself together and has settled in less than 90 seconds behind the chasers. A lot of that impetus has come from Poland, but regardless here, if Annemiek is caught, Anna van der Breggen can choose what she wants to do. If she wants to attack, she can, and the Netherlands has only burnt one match. If she doesn't, then the Dutch can get their worker ant riders like Vollering and Mackaij to pull from behind, and put the impetus on the likes of Deignan and the Italians to work in what is now chase 1 if they don't want the likes of Vos to come back.

I 'm not sure if this was still 2018 or 2019, but past winter, there was a save by van der Poel and there was one by Tom Meeusen as well in CX, that was quite impressive. Think Valter's crash, but not crashing.

Will the Italians be ok with the peloton coming back as it means Bastianelli is still there?

Paladin has barely touched the front of group 1, so I think they are trying to keep her fresh at the moment, she probably wouldn't beat Deignan in a sprint when both are fresh, but if she's been sitting in the wheel all day with Elisa doing her share, that might shift things. I think Italy are caught in a tough position here. Elisa can't sprint and has to finish solo but Anna VDB is getting a free ride, Paladin needs to be rested for the sprint, but as the only team with 2 in the chase group, the isolated riders like Lizzie and Cille will look to them for assistance in the first instance and so I think yes, there is a good chance that the Italians, despite having two in the chase group, would actually fancy their chances more from the péloton as they don't just have Marta but Elisa Balsamo too.

In fairness only Welles there is comparable to most team’s second in command. If the Dutch put Mollema or Italians Ulissi or even Visconti in current form it will be harder to drop them if they simply just ride in the wheel. I can see Fugslang following as well along with a few other of the smaller teams going straight to him.

Anna van DerBreggen is getting a sweet ride. If Van Vleuten is caught, you have to think that AVDB and Dygert have to be strong contenders for the win. Of course, there are still 55+ km to go, so anything can happen. I love this race, though.

It’ll likely be a bit more controlled, as it always is, but it should be fun nonetheless. A lot of teams there which can blow it up

No chance they can get rid of her. She's super strong and has been sitting on forever. She won't miss any split from that group unless she decides to let a solo rider chase.

She might do so even if she ends up fifths. Seems to me that if she's happy with how she raced, she's… well… happy…
