No, no, I hate cycling as evidenced by the fact that I don't like Lance Armstrong. Only chamois sniffers who think doping is merely an issue with people who can't hack it otherwise are the real fans of the sport.

Becareful, jumping on bandwagons can be dangerous. Make sure you and your boy WBT hold hands while switching. :D

Again, projection is quite logical for someone such as yourself, but consider this: I only call him Contador and not Contadope because I am trying to respect some of the people here who are fans of Mr Armstrong, but are also fans of the sport. Its interesting that you can take you and about 50 of the 3 week fanboy nation and total their posts and I still distance you by miles. Why is it that you think you are special? To me you are just another screen name who I will have forgotten about completely in 3 more weeks.

As for bandwagons, you will all be jumping off of one on Friday. That appears much more dangerous....

Toodles newbie.

Oops, you're entirely right, Bala. Sorry.

This stuff is addictive/compulsively interesting etc.

nb: have deleted my text

Ha, I know, happens to me all the time too. We just need to correct each other here and there, as an early warning system that something goes awry ;)

Anyway, HD is cool, looks good, but 95% of my HD cycling experience is drained in ads...

I dont think I am special at all. but what I do find very entertaining is people like you who judge "post counts". Is it a manhood thing? Does it make your d!ck hard knowing you have more posts than someone? If you are such a fan of cycling, why do worry about post counts on a cycling forum? Real cycling fans worry about cycling not how many more posts they have than the next guy. Quite childish on your part.
I have been posting on other cycling forums since 2002, Ive seen you on other forums, and I find it very funny that you are on this forum running your mouth about how many more posts you have than everyone else.;)

Yes it is, and mine is bigger than yours in this also, sucks for you

No, I have clearly stated that my wife does that

I find it funny that it is so easy to get you riled up. I have a lot on those other forums too. I don't generally change screen names though. (Chewbacca Defense being the exception). Why do you? We have a history in which I shamed and humiliated you? If it was on the paceline fourms, you know, the ones that got shut down when people who weren't chamois sniffing fanboys showed up, then I can understand your frustration.

I'm not riled. I enjoy this stuff. I enjoy exposing you for the child that you are. History? No there is no history. Like I said, I have been around most of "the forums" and I just find it very funny that you are on this one beating your chest. Paceline? nope not there. Never been on that one, but you obviously have. But as far as getting it opened back up for fanboys, they may have to open it for the AC Fanboys like yourself.

Ha, look at this article in Dutch Astana (Bruyneel?) boycotts Sporza and denies them interviews and other access to the team. Reason? Because apparently (unfortunately I have no access to Sporza to verify it) the commentators are too negative about Astana, and establish too many connections with doping(affairs).

Lance hadn't yet been informed of the policy, and he was quite surprised that he wasn't allowed to talk to Belgian reporters, throwing back at Bruyneel (?) 'but they are your compatriots?'

Now that's something I have yet to see from all access Phil and Paul... A critical perspective

Exposing me as being a child. BAWHAHAHAHAHA

Just for once I would love to see a fanboy who understood that when they engage in insults and then ridicule another as being a "child" for doing so, they indict themselves with that which they throw. It is indicative of a less than stellar intelligence. Sniff glue much? Or was it the paint chips?

Back to the original topic, I hope this isn't some copyright violation, but the site Competitive Cyclist has an article up with the following excerpt:

"- Watching a 10am Cialis commercial during Stage 1 of the Tour and seeing a mid-40's woman give a handjob to a brass staircase handrail in front of me & my 3 kids has driven me to this: I'll mail a $250 Competitive Cyclist Gift Card to the first person who can provide easily-followed step-by-step directions for masking my IP address so I won't get blocked by geo-restricted on-line feeds of the Tour de France. Here's the important part: Our firewalls & IT security are like Fort Knox here, so I can't do anything to my static IP address that'll restrict my ability to do work while I watch. Is that possible? At home I'm on a dynamic IP. Can you give instructions for both (static vs. dynamic) if they're different? I'll give you $250, and you'll be nominated for sainthood by the readers of this column…"

I'd guess the static/dynamic part is behind the LAN router, so it's irrelevant.

He should google justin tv and go from there. Send me the check now.

Yup. I have not watched US much but they rerun all sorts of stuff. In fact I just noticed that they have events from the Beijing Olympics on. They must be hurting for content, so maybe they are not as good as OLN used to be.

I did not see any of the Basque country tour, so I might have to watch. It will be like cycling coverage overload.

Actually, Universal is better than ALL the other Sports channels. But there is no PERFECT channel, either in this world, or anybody else's dream world.
Universal brought us the entire Giro D'Italia, FREE! unlike the cycling.tv service they outbid, and that previously charged for it. Sounds like you missed that one too!

Yeah, I must of missed that one. Too bad no cycling fans knew that is was being broadcast on US. It remained a total secret. I am completely surprised right now to find out the Giro was on US.

More stupid commentary today Bobke mentions what a great job the SKIL guys did yesterday to be positioned at the front but when the split was happening you could see a few clusters of riders in no mans land. Then from another camera angle you could see it was at least 3 SKIL riders working hard together to bridge which they ultimately did.
Its clear they bit the bullet and did the work to bridge UP to the break, but that would make the other spoiled teams look bad, Skil bridged and no one else could.
As much as i like CAV & Columbia i wish SKIL could have stolen the stage

I couldn't take the Versus fluffing (pre)show anymore, and wait untill any of those commentators would ejaculate yellow... I went back to TV ants and looked up Eurosport France. No HD, but I also lost my suicidal tendencies. In effect, the French might actually have saved my life here.

Wonderful, french babbling for 3-4 hours (even educational that way), on eurosport... :D

Working with proxies by the way is almost bound to fail. 1) there are few good privately available proxies 2) in most cases the proxies are too slow to handle live streams and feeds.

What a contrast!!!!! TV5 French coverage vs Versus

Amazing the difference between the French TDF show and Versus!!!
Versus spends almost half the broadcast on hype...interviews, ect, and the commercials can come at any time. Today for example, they skipped the finish for a garlique commercial!! The French announcers expect the public to know what a bicycle is, and they focus on THE RACE. Watching Versus one loses interest due to the ENDLESS HYPE!!!!Apparently American TV has ruined the TDF much like they ruined the Olympics--- no sport- just hype 'till you want to puke!

Velocodger—perfectly said, once you see any other foreign coverage you'll never be satisfied with Versus. Plus the coverage has almost no commercial breaks. We need to start a campaign against Versus in the US and to get this message to ASO.

Well, they just made the obligatory "doping is only done by a few bad apples" comment. They really are incredibly stupid. Stunningly actually.

Really? Show me proof.

I am not sure this is versus. I have AT&T U-Verse, and I saw the entire finish.
Maybe it is your cable provider throwing in an additional commercial break?

A poster on another forum complained of the same thing on a previous stage. Again, there was no commercial break for me.

That is just my guess.
