Anyone who follows certain Twitter accounts knows that RR's "scoops" are not really scoops.

As far as being a fan goes, you appear to be falling back on the Clinic standard - "I do not like LA or anyone who dares question a fact about a post that is not favorable to LA. Therefore, you must be a fan."

Do yourself a favor and read every one of the RR posts in the old LA thread. Calculate how many of them were correct. Let us know. Then you will know why I and others are making jokes.

HAHA!!!!!!
EXACTLY!!!!

wow, just wow. Not any of RR's predictions turned out to be true.
None.
Nada.
Zero.

A few years from now Lance is going to look back and say "remember those couple days of peace we had before it all hit the fan?"

A few years from now Race Radio is going to look back and say "remember all of those claims I made about the outcome of various Armstrong investigations"...and it will be said to an audience of two grandkids and a drunk neighbor.

Wow.

The FBI and FDA only got a half an hour notice that the case was being dropped and investigators were livid about it.

Judging by what your man said prosecutors were reading to hand down indictments to Armstrong and all for witness tampering and fraud next month.

Thanks for the link.

Yes! Thanks very much for that , Susan.

Begs the question how the case was dropped. Under what premise.

Lots of money from all sides. Collapse of the cancer charity. All for a guy that everyone knows was likely hot-saucing in sports.

Worst case scenario is that the government would do accomplish all the above, and still LOSE the case. Can you imagine? Why it even got this far makes no sense. But then again, you can see how passionate some individuals are about this stuff in the clinic.

NPR said one source said indictment was coming as soon as next month, mentioned wire fraud, witness tampering, mail fraud & drug distribution.

NPR, said that Birotte struggled with decision & other agencies are angry w/decision

Have to wait to listen to this, media is blocked in our office.

And wrt Lance being in the forum, I was thinking [briefly] that "Ulle Relaxes" was LA, the way he came in as a new poster and headed straight for RaceRadio. :)

CyclingNews scoop!

“I talked to someone within the investigation but the reason why the case was shut down was due to a one man decision. The evidence against those involved was absolutely overwhelming. They were going to be charged with a slew of crimes but for reasons unexplained he closed the case saying it wasn't open for discussion,” the source said.

I've been very critical of the media

They proved the friggen case not only beyond reasonable doubt, they proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt.

According the NPR, sources indicated that charges were close to being brought against a number of individuals, which included fraud, witness tampering, mail fraud, and drug distribution. One source, NPR says, said there were ‘no weaknesses in the case’.

Please, stop saying they didn't prove the case for goodness sake. 'I know he's guilty but they didn't prove it.' That nonsense is worse than the fanboys stupidity.

Betsy Andreu looks to be right when she says it is a failure in the American justice system.

Sounds more like the failure of a Federal Prosecutor who has no balls or perhaps corrupt or both.

Either way, Birotte, Jr is now part of the problem.

I don’t think those who pontificate in the in clinic have anything to do with it.

Witnesses tampering is rather scary. Thats not crimes of doping thats federal and fundamental to democracy.

Armstrong dodged a massive bullet. Well done to him to side step this one. He just skipped jail time. Kudos to the fellow.

Although this is interesting it doesn't amount to much. He's still a free man.

"However NPR also adds that a person with knowledge of the decision said that US Attorney didn’t agree that there was sufficient evidence of crimes."

Simple math:

Lance Armstrong ---> Millions of Dollars ---> Mark Fabiani ---> Lots of lunches ---> Eric Holder

Any desired outcome can be bought in Washington. This is how Washington works. Issues are bought and sold. There are no political parties. There is just one party: The money party. Throw enough money at an issue (or an election) through the right people, and you get your desired result. Simple.

And yes, the San Diego Chargers will get what THEY want too.

Yep. Cycling News with good coverage:

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/con...al-investigation-into-armstrong-and-us-postal

Compliments to Cycling News for their coverage of the case thus far, which I would assess as relatively independent, objective and critical.
(although they still need to close down on McQuaid and the horsecrap he's been spewing...)

Provided the anonymous sources are credible, a mighty disturbing scenario is unfolding.

Scott, I just got off the phone with the USDOJ Criminal Division and voiced my complaint with a guy who's known as the "Correspondent." The phone number is (202)514-2000. The guy never even heard of the "Armstrong investigation." Amazing...

Anyway, he gave me an email to register complaints.... criminal.division@usdoj.gov Don't know if it will do any good.

Hey, what happened to all the people telling me I am a fool?

Sometimes the cover-up is worse then the crime. This isn't over, not even close
