When investigators say that they had a strong case against a subject of a secret GJ investigation, it's not a tiny sliver--its a baseball bat.

What would you expect the investigators in this case to say? That they had no case?

Probably as a result that GJ was not buying the evidence. I would like to know if they closed this thing up as GJ was in the process of voting that no charges be brought. Can a new GJ be called? Maybe it's like rolling dice.

When you get like 10 of his former teammates cooperationg with an investigation or testifying to a GJ, it's as plain as day. This was just the tip of the iceberg.

I would suspect it would come from another department within government. Maybe its an IRS investigation alone.

There has been a multimillion dollar secret investigation using compelled witnesses, and Armstrong has had NO opportunity to defend himself. Now the feds are selectively leaking information from that investigation to hurt Armstrong. Even you can see how unfair that is! They can be good. Yes, but if they're use too often it becomes trial by press.

I think more people than you think are also bothered by there overuse. I think people are naturally suspicious. They have an instinct that something's wrong if a name can't be put to source or they might feel that it's a unfair tatic. It hurts the prosecution's case. Sometimes leaks do come from the defense, but now they're saying FBI, FDA, US Postal...

I’m with you. I don’t care about suffering of witnesses who were pressured to change testimony. They should just get on with their lives. Stop looking back. I don’t care about those who kept their mouths shut for years to protect the omerta and lose their homes and families in the process. And you’re right. I’m sure Lance doesn’t care either!

Oh, I'm quite certain that Mr. Amrstrong probably wants to just get on with his life as if this never happened. Thank your lucky stars that such a small percentage of the population (such as myself) find amusement in correcting breakdowns in the justice system. I don't care about the pro cyclists who, after 1999, realized nothing had changed and were essentially forced back into PED use and omerta.

I don't care about the career paths that were forever changed due to a lack of willingness to dope.

I don't care about the duped donators to Livestrong.org, erm uh, .com, uh, no... .org.

I don't care about Mike, Kik, Emma, Betsy, Stephanie, Kevin, Tyler, Floyd, Phillipo, or any other collateral damage done in the pursuit of a fraudulent super-stardom.
