To rain on some's parade, this break will not succeed. The drag from Buena Vista to the foot of Independence Pass is merciless.

Alzate 3:00 behind. Peloton 4:10 behind. Essentially at halfway point of the stage.
Probably 3 hours left in the saddle.

This is exactly what I want right now. A hard workout this morning, and then nothing but eating, sitting, and tele-spectating for a few hours (at least until run #2 later).
