Agreed. Something like 2012 Vuelta would be awesome. Wishful thinking, I know, but a 4 man battle between Froome, AC, Valverde, and Nibs would be legendary.

Lets set aside his new born baby & duties inherited to it-- I truly believe the nature of his current problems is his training switch that is causing his lack of form- I just cannot comprehend how he went from a superb 2013 form Giro winner & Vuelta runner-up to an empty basket this year.......

I sincerely wish & hope Nibbs will prove us doubters all wrong & blast this coming Tour with results-not necessarily winning it, but at least a stage win+fierce attacks & competition to top it with a podium spot... that's all

Vincenzo is citing specifically the birth of his daughter and a crash for his early season lack of form. He says he is calm and confident now.

maybe that is exactly Vino want to see. My impression is Nibali still labors on his pedal stroke. I hope he will keep improving his form and saving his best to challenge AC and CF in the third week.

That's a bold statement. I seem to remember him behind two Colombians this year and there are several coming up that will surely be in the mix. Aru will be good, I'm just not ready to anoint him as a future Giro winner just yet with so many young climbers around these days.

There has been reports of conflict between Kazkah side and eyetalian side of Astana in the Italian media so Nibali wearing the tricolore would make Vino more mad is maybe what the poster was alluding too.
